Without the Makeup - Aaron Carpenter Imagine for Rebecca

I stared into the mirror, very concentrated, swiping the eye shadow brush across my eyelid. The grey color transferred perfectly, and it complimented the white next to it on my eye. Picking up my black eyeliner, I carefully drew a thin line across my eyelid, trying not to mess up. After that, I grabbed my favorite tube of mascara and quickly pulled the wand through my lashes a couple of times. I took a step back from the mirror, examining my face. I squinted and then blinked, taking in the makeup job I’d just done… not quite right.

“You look beautiful,” a voice said from my bathroom door. I looked over, and my amazing boyfriend, Aaron stood there, leaning against the door frame with his hands in his pockets. He looked at me smiling. He looked gorgeous there in his black tuxedo… all boys look good dressed up. But Aaron looked the best anyways.

“Thanks, babe,” I said, leaning over to give him a peck on the lips.

“Of course, Becca, babe… but you’d be beautiful even without the makeup,” he said sweetly. His hand lingered on mine.

“Well, I wanted to look nice,” I told him, letting go of his big hand and reaching for my bottle of foundation. I dripped some on my fingers and swiped little dots on my face and rubbed them in with my hands.

“You already look nice,” he said, the smile still not leaving his face. I picked up my favorite blush and a brush and applied it to my cheeks.

“Well, thank you,” I said to him. I reached for the tube of pink lipstick that sat on the counter next to him. Aaron grabbed it before I could take it.

“No, don’t put this on!” Aaron said in all seriousness.

“Why?”

“Because my lips will be already by the end of the night,” he said, “from so many kisses.” He winked at me. I giggled.

“Well, okay then,” I said, reaching for a tube of lip balm instead. I brushed it on my lips. “And that’s so my lips are nice and soft, ready for yours!” I smiled at him. He smiled back.
