First Date - Cameron Dallas Imagine for Regan

There was a knock on your door. You looked over at your friend Grace with wide eyes. “He’s here already?” you asked. She shrugged and ran downstairs to grab the door. You looked in the mirror. You were still wearing a t shirt and shorts. Having no time to spare, you pulled on a light pink dress and slipped on some shoes. You tied your hair in a braid and sighed. I guess this’ll have to do. You heard some talking downstairs.

“Hey, Cameron! I’m Grace,” your best friend said happily. “Regan’s still getting ready. She’ll be down in a few.”

“Oh, that’s fine. I think I’m early anyway. I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t late. I have to make a good impression.” You smiled to yourself. Grabbing a little bag, you headed downstairs, still eavesdropping.

“Oh, why’s that?” Grace asked. You could practically hear the smirk on her face.

“Oh, Grace, you don’t even know. She’s perfect. I can’t mess up with her. I know I just met her… but I just can’t stop thinking about her.” You sighed to yourself, incurably giddy. You skipped down the stairs and landed gracefully at the bottom. Cameron looked over at you and his eyebrows raised to the sky. His mouth gaped open as he looked you over.

“Regan…” his voice was breathless. “You’re… gorgeous.” You blushed a shade darker than your dress and smiled.

“Thanks,” you said. “You look dashing as well.” Cameron wore a pair of khaki pants and a blue button down. He did look handsome. You both stood admiring each other for a moment. It wasn’t until Grace purposely cleared her throat to let you guys know that she was still there that you both laughed.

“Ready to go?” he asked. You nodded quickly, taking hold of Cameron’s arm as you waved goodbye to Grace. She shut the door behind you two as Cam led you to the sidewalk.

“Where are we going?” you asked.

“To dinner,” he smiled. You nodded. “I think you’ll like it.”

“Okay,” you said.

“Okay,” he said. You mentally swooned harder than you thought you could. You two walked in silence for ten minutes maybe, but it wasn’t awkward or unpleasant. It was a comfortable and bearable silence. You could feel his arm muscles through his shirt as you held his arm.

After a while, you saw a little corner building with light bulb strings as lighting. It had a green banner that read some words in French. Little wicker tables sat outside the tiny restaurant. “This is it,” Cameron said happily.

“Cam… this is perfect,” you stared at it in awe.

“I was hoping so,” he said, leaning down and kissing your lips.
