Big Pink Bunny - Taylor Caniff Imagine for Angela

I smiled as I gazed at Taylor. We were walking down the boardwalk at the beach, and the sun was setting. His hand in mine and the perfect beach breeze blowing my hair: it couldn’t be more perfect. Well, that was until I saw him whistle at another girl. He gazed at her ass which was practically falling out of her bikini bottoms. I rolled my eyes. He did it all the time. She smirked at him and kept walking, making sure to shake her hips with her step.

Then another, he winked at a girl who’s boobs were at least two sizes bigger than mine. I looked down at myself, and automatically felt ashamed. I squeezed his hand really hard. He looked down at me a little confused. “What?” he asked in an irritated tone as the boob girl turned around, now having lost interest in him.

I looked up at him, almost crying. “Taylor…” he pulled me down one of the quiet streets off the boardwalk. “Why do you always do that?” I ask, more tears spilling over.

“Do what, Angela?” he asked, still a bit annoyed.

“You always check other girls out in front of me and all those girls are so much prettier than me and if you wanted to do that why wouldn’t you just break up with me?” I cried, ripping my hand away.

“Am I not allowed to think other girls are pretty?” he yelled. I hated when Taylor yelled. His face got red with rage and his eyes were piercing through my skin. I cowered into myself, turning my back, crying so hard now. He sat back. Taylor’s hands covered his face as he tipped his head back, sighing. “I… Angela…”

“No…” I said, sitting on a bench nearby and pulling my knees up to my chest.

“I’m… so sorry…” Taylor said quietly, coming behind the bench. “You are so beautiful… those girls could never compare to you. I’m so so sorry. I’m such a dick. You’re my girl, and you’ll always be my girl. I know I don’t pay enough attention to you and I feel so bad.” He tentatively wrapped his arms around me from behind. His neck craned around to see me. “I love you,” he kissed my nose. My eyes were red and puffy when I looked up to see him.

“I… I just…” I pulled away from his arms again. “I don’t understand how you could do that in front of me!” I yell at him. My breaths were coming ragged and quickly as I stomped away toward our beach house. Once I was inside, I through myself down onto a kitchen chair and put my face down on the table. I didn’t hear the door open. The tears dripped out of my eyes somberly and I was actually so sad. I loved him so much… and I couldn’t understand how he could do that to me.

I stayed there, sobbing into the white wood of the table for at least an hour. There was no noise at the door, no noise signaling that Taylor was coming back to get me. After a while, I sat up and went to our bedroom and sat out on the balcony. You could see the edges of the water from up here. There were two little rocking chairs out there. I plopped in one and closed my eyes. After another hour or so, the sky was a light pink. I heard the door open and close downstairs. “Angela?” A deep teenage voice asked to the quiet house.

“Angie?” he asked again. I didn’t respond. I heard footsteps coming up the stairs toward our bedroom but I didn’t move. I stared out at the sky, not wanting to face him. “Angela…” he said when he saw me.

I felt some tears prickle in my eyes but I blinked them away. I had to be strong. “I’m so sorry,” Taylor said quietly, more calm than he was earlier. His quiet footsteps creaked the floorboards behind me until they stopped and I knew he was right behind me. He placed a huge pink stuffed bunny on my lap. I stared down at it. He had big fluffy ears and a yellow bow around his neck. “I love you, Angie,” said Taylor. “I’m so… so… sorry.”

I turned around, holding the bunny to my chest and slammed my lips on his.
