•Fallen Cards•

The games people play,
The Strategies they have to take.

Whether it's just a simple game of cards,
Or the risky game of love.

One can gamble,
One can guess.

Each dealt a hand,
A deck with units in demand.

Large numbers, nines and tens,
The rulers known as the kings and queens,
Not forgetting the jokers,
Remembering the ace.

Secrets to be kept,
Let suspicions be made.

Jump the gap,
Take the risk,

May be laced with lies,
The turn is yours to take.

Pass it on or make a move,
Fall in love or place your cards.

Like a house of cards,
So fragile yet so intriguing.

One wrong move and all falls down.

There are reasons why the cards fell the way they did.

There are reasons why we fell for those we've yet to have.

Let them know your secrets,
Let them know your lies,

Defend what's rightfully yours or leave it right in the dust.

If you don't want to play the game,
Why fight in the first place?

While we all play this foolish game,
In the end we are all just,

Fallen Cards.
