Chapter Seven

I awoke to see that it was 4:38am.

Ah! How am I awake this early in the morning?!

And how am I supposed to fall back asleep?

I feel wide awake!

... Sigh...

Maybe I can convince Cameron or Damien to entertain me?

I looked around to see that I was back in my room.

... Guess someone moved me back to my room...?

I then stood up and quietly tip-toed out of the room.

Of course, this time I remembered to grab my room key, so I wouldn't be locked out again.

I then quietly knocked on the door.

"Cameron? Damien? Are either of you awake?" I whispered.

I was actually surprised when the door opened.

"Hey." Cameron said.

"Hi. Did I wake you?" I quietly asked.

"No. I've been awake for a while." Cameron answered.

I sighed in relief.

"So, what'd you need?" Cameron questioned.

"I couldn't sleep, so I was curious if either you or Damien would be up for being up with me and just doing whatever." I explained.

"I'm fine with doing that. Damien's still asleep."

I smiled.

"Thank you! So... What shall we do?" I questioned.

Cameron thought for a moment before answering.

We could go to the pool. It's open 24/7."

"Sure. Sounds fun. I'll go get in my swimming suit on." I said, before going back to my room.

Ugh... My swimsuit's still wet...

After the (massive!) struggle to put my swimsuit on, I put my key in my bag, and exited the room.

Cameron was already in his swimsuit, waiting for me.

"You ready?"

Cameron nodded.

We then headed to the pool. Luckily, Cameron seems to have the entire map of this place memorized, so it wasn't an adventure to find the pool.

No one was in the pool area except the lifeguard.

... Can't say I'm really surprised. It's almost five in the morning!

I then used the stairs to enter the pool.

I turned back to Cameron.

"You coming? Relax, the water feels fine."

Cameron nodded, before walking up to the diving board.

He then closed his eyes, before jumping off the diving board, performing a backflip, and diving beautifully into the pool.

... How the hell did he do that?!

As quickly as I could, I swam up to Cameron, who was just resurfacing to the air.

"Cameron... How did you do that?! You never told me you were this amazing!" I exclaimed.

"I practice at home in our swimming pool. I used to do more swimming events until the past few months. I actually surprised myself that I could still do it." Cameron explained.
