I slowly opened my eyes and saw the hospital curtain. I felt like I slept for days but I'm not sure how long I slept. Why am I in the hospital still? Shouldn't I be home by now? I'm not sure why I'm still here, but I'm sure I have been in an accident I just don't know how. Anyways I call the nurse in to find out why I'm still in the hospital.

"Yes ma'am, how may I help you." the nurse said once she walked in.

"Uh, I just wanted to ask when will I be discharged." I asked.

"And also, am I fine...could you tell me what happened . "I continued.

"Ma'am you will be discharged today, in about and hour and what happened with you, we need to discuss with your husband here as well." she said.

"Ok thank you, and may I ask when will he be here? if you know." I asked.

"In about 5 minutes, anytime now." she answered.

"Thank you." I replied. She nodded her head in reply. Iyfaaz is going to be here any minute. I don't know why I'm having a weird feeling that the talk with the doctor is going to be bad. Allah, please help me, please. I haven't prayed any of my salah either since I'm in the hospital. But I have to start now because I need Allah mostly, he's the one that's always there for you.

After a couple of minutes Iyfaaz walked in and sat on the chair next to my hospital bed.

"Hey sweetheart. How are you?" he said.

"Walaykumassalam, I'm absolutely fine, how about you?" I said sarcastically.

"Zahrah I'm serious." he said. I turned my head to the other side so I'm no longer facing him .

I felt a hand pushing my face to meet green eyes. it was Iyfaaz .

"I'm sorry, ok?" he said again. I still didn't reply.

"The doctor will be here anytime now and please just act like husband and wife please." he asked. I just nodded my head yes in return.

After a couple of minutes the doctor came in to talk to us.

"Good Morning, Mr & Mrs Malik." The doctor said.

"Good morning" me and iyfaaz replied at the same time.

"So, I just want you to know that whatever I tell you, please don't take it to heart. Ok?" She asked. My heart stopped. I knew something bad was coming. Iyfaaz took hold of my hand and squeezed it. I didn't have time to push my hand away from his hold. Because I was to busy in my thoughts to find what happened.

"Continue" Iyfaaz said to the doctor.

"Your wife was pregnant. And we couldn't save your child anymore."

As soon as those words left her mouth, my eyes widened and tears fell from them as well. I looked up at Iyfaaz and saw that he was really serious, almost as if he could once feel guilty.

I'm heading back to USA today!! Back home! I'm going to miss paki SOO much so to remember this day I updated a chapter even though I'm really busy!! thank you! hope you enjoy!
