Long distance relationships were difficult. Renée and Pete knew this, and they had both done their relationship long distance, but it was only for short times. Renée was gone for a week when she went to LA for the Endgame premiere, and she was gone for a week when she went to Paris with her family. Pete never really traveled, but when he did, it was usually for a few days.

So when Pete got the call that he had the opportunity to be part of the new Suicide Squad movie, Renée was ecstatic. They weren't thinking about where the movie would be filming, but it was easy to rule out filming in LA. The tax incentives for filming outside of LA were better, so most movies and TV shows filmed in Georgia or New York.

Renée had to say goodbye to Pete so that he could film his movie in Georgia, which meant that the couple would be separated for more than a month.

They texted everyday and FaceTimed when they had the time, but it wasn't comparable to seeing each other face-to-face. Pete was able to go home early, but he didn't tell Renée because he wanted to surprise her.

Renée was doing laundry and listening to a podcast downstairs when she heard Amy exclaim, "Jesus Christ!". Hearing this brought on some concern, because Renée initially thought that there was someone in the house who wasn't supposed to be there. That's what watching most of Criminal Minds will do to you.

She was out of breath by the time she got up the stairs to see a lanky figure in the dining room. Amy looked happy, and it led Renée to believe that the figure who was slumped over in the dark room was either Pete or Colson.

"Which lanky white boy are you?" Renée asked. Pete's laugh gave it away and he got up to hug Renée. She went up to him and jumped in his arms before planting kisses all over his face.

"I missed you so much. Work was boring without you, too. Do you wanna go downstairs?"

Pete eagerly nodded his head and they took his bags downstairs before he started to unpack some of them. Renée tossed some of his clothes into the laundry before she finally started to relax. After getting the laundry started, she went over to Pete who was sitting on the couch. He smirked as she sat on his lap and started looking through Netflix for murder mystery suggestions.

"Look at me." He whispered in her ear.

"Yeah?" She whispered back. She was now straddling him and his hands were on her hips.

Everything was quiet for a moment as Renée looked into Pete's eyes. She closed the small space between them with a kiss, and he put his hands under the hoodie that she was wearing.

Renée moved so that she was laying under Pete, and his hands went higher under her shirt while they continued to kiss.

"No bra? I'm one lucky guy." He said.

Renée smiled as they kissed and started to untie Pete's sweatpants. He put his hands on top of hers as a way of telling her to slow down, which made her look into his eyes in confusion.

"Let's take a shower. I've been on a plane for a lot of the day so like I might have sweaty balls."

The statement made Renée laugh because of how unexpected it was. They got up from the couch and went into the bathroom. Renée put her hair up because she didn't plan on washing it and brushed her teeth while Pete adjusted the water temperature. A lot of the time, Pete complained that Renée liked to "shower in lava" because of how hot the water temperature always was.
