Y/N Gold was someone in this world ruled by money...
The next day came as the sun rose over London, I opened my eyes the warm light finding its way in my room through the small opening between curtains and the bedroom wall.
And while other days I would check my phone as soon as I woke up, today wasn't the same. Instead I got up and went to the window, opening the curtains to admire the view.
And it was beautiful...The sky was baby blue color, no clouds in sight, kids playing in the golden leaves (since all the schools, colleges and universities in England were closed today), the wind rustling through the trees, making the leaves fall to the ground, forming a beautiful golden-brown carpet, with red leaves here and there
Then, my phone rang
"Y/N Gold speaking" I said cheerfully, not bothering to look at who was calling me
"Hey girl, you seem happy" said Grace on the other side of the phone
"As a matter of fact I am really happy, don't know why, just am" I said
"I'm glad you're happy Y/N, I also have some really good news for you" said Grace
"I'm listening?" I said, with a glint of curiosity in my voice
"Well, as you know I talked to my father and he said he'll cover for you" Grace began "but, today the head doctor called and appointed HIM to take care of your mother!"
"Really!" I exclaimed "That's amazing!"
Why you may ask? Because it'll make our tattletale even more believable.
"I know!" Grace beamed "speaking of, when are the two of you going to go to the hospital?"
"Today, Kayden will pick us up" I responded
"Alright then, I'll talk to you later"
"Talk to you later, love you Grace"
"Love you too Y/N"
And with that she hung up the phone and I placed mine on the nightstand before going the bathroom to do my daily routine
As 12PM rolled around, me and mom were checking if we packed everything when a knock on the door was heard.
"Coming!" I exclaimed before rushing downstairs to open the door "Hey Kay" I greeted him after I opened the door "we were just getting everything wrapped up, come in"
