"Mommy! Daddy! Wake up!" beamed the five-year-old Emily as she opened the door to our bedroom and ran towards the bed before starting to jump on it
"Up! Up!" she giggled as she jumped on the bed
"Okay, okay, we're up" Lionel groaned before sitting up and grabbing Emily before pulling her down on the bed, making her let out a giggle
"Good morning darling" I said with a small smile, opening my eyes and caressing her blonde hair before putting a strand behind her ear
When it came to looks, Emily was a mix of everyone. She had Lionel's blonde hair, and looked a lot like him when she frowned, she had my eye shape and attitude...oh God when it came to the attitude it was the spitting image of mine, and as for the rest, the button nose and full lips were from my mother, and the blue eyes were from Marie
"How did you sleep, munchkin?" Lionel asked, wrapping his arm around Emily
"I slept good" she smiled
"And why did you wake me and daddy up?" I asked with a rose eyebrow
"Because tis morning, and you two needs to wake up" she said to which Lionel chuckled
"Fair point, my little one" Lionel said before we both heard a knock on the door
"Come in" I said before the door opened to which we saw Emily's nanny
"Good morning, Maddison" said Lionel
"Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Shabandar" she said "I'm here to get Emily ready for school"
"Of course" I smiled before pecking Emily's forehead "Go with Maddy, me and daddy will be downstairs in a bit"
"Otay" she smiled before getting out of bed and walking with Maddy, Maddy closing the door as she and Emily left
"Well now that the little one is gone" said Lionel before getting on top of me "shall I tell you good morning?"
