Paige POV:
Practice just finished and we are getting on the bus to head to St. John's. It's in New York so it's only about 3 hours away from Connecticut so it won't be that bad of a trip.
On the bus Nika and I sit next to each other and I decide to Facetime Peyton. She answers after a couple rings.
"Hey what's up?" she says as she's walking in a building
"Not much, on our way to New York"
"Oh nice" she says as I see her grabbing something
"What are you doing"
"Getting food in the dining hall, I'm a hungry human" she says laughing
"I bet your hungry after this morning" Nika interrupts
"What?" Peyton says
"I told you we didn't do anything" I say to Nika as I turn to face the phone and tell Peyton "She thinks we did something this morning when she knocked on the door"
"Ohhhhh, yea no, we didn't do that" Peyton says as she sits down in the dining hall and starts eating with her airpods in her ear
"Then what took you so long to get out of the room" Nika asks
"Relationship things" Peyton says laughing and I laugh with her
"You guys are annoying" Nika says
"We try our best" Peyton replies
"What are you eating" I ask Peyton as she props up her phone on what I'm guessing is her water.
"Some chicken and rice and of course a brownie" she says holding up the brownie
"Of course you got a brownie" I say laughing
"It's not my problem I have a sweet tooth" she jokes "But anyway, how's the ride going"
"It's fine, pretty boring so far" I say as I hear someone through the face time say "Hey your Peyton right, can I get a picture with you"
"Yea of course" Peyton says as she stands up and quickly turns her phone face down so they don't see me on the screen.
"Why did she give you a black screen" Nika asks as she looks over
"There's a fan wanting a picture"
"Ohhh makes sense"
"Thank you so much" I hear before shortly after hearing Peyton say "No problem, it was nice to meet you" before she picks her phone back up.
"Sorry about that" Peyton says
"you're good don't worry" I say
"Luckily she came from the other way so she didn't see you on the phone"
"Ok good, also have you asked your team yet about friendsgiving" I ask
"Yea they all said they would come, I think more so they could meet you" she said laughing
"Your famous P" Nika says
"Oh shut up"
After talking to Peyton for almost the entire ride we made it to the hotel.
"I'll call you later once we get dinner and everything" I say
"Sounds good I'll be catching up on some of my school work and I have a few meetings with my team"
"Oh shoot, I have to do my school work too"
"You get dinner, do your work, and then call me before you go to bed"
"Ok, I love you"
"I love you too, be safe" Peyton says before she ends the FaceTime.
I slide my phone in my pocket and stand up to get off the bus and when I look up everyone is looking at me
"What" I ask confused
There was a mix of "You guys are so cute" "You are so in love" "You guys said the L word already" and everything.
I can't help the smile that's on my face as I make my way off the bus, I really do love Peyton.
There are a few people taking pictures when I get off the bus but I don't really care because all I'm thinking about is Peyton.
"Boy, everyone is gonna think you are crazy with that smile on your face when they upload those photos" Christyn says as we walk through the paparazzi and into the hotel
"So what, let them. I'm happy"
