In art, Louis spilled all his emotions to Zayn. Including how shocked he was when Harry Styles was nice to him, how they didn't argue, and how guilty Louis felt.

Yep. Louis admitted his guilt.

"He cut his hair. Zayn, he cut it. All because one joke I made. God- I.. I feel so horrible." Louis gushed

And Zayn didn't know what to say. Just like how Niall didn't really know what to say.

"Well.. I.. I think it's good that you two aren't at each other's throats right now. I think it should stay that way."

"Like, be friends?!" Louis asked, even more shocked now than he was when Styles calmly spoke to him earlier that morning

"Hey- you said it, not me, mate" Zayn defended while putting his hands up.

Louis just stared at his pen in his hand

His only thoughts were full of confusion. And the last thing he found himself wondering before Aiden's voice interrupted him was could we ever be friends?

"Hey, Lou?" Aiden asked from behind and to the left of him

Louis immediately frowned a little

Since when did Aiden call him lou

Zayn noticed too, and he frowned aswell.

Louis turned and raised his eyebrows at the boy calling him by a close-friend-only nickname

"What's up?"

"I'm working on the nose- I just can't get it right. Yours is like a button and this...isn't. Could we work on it at lunch?" Aiden asks politely. It's an obvious request for the art project- but it's also obvious that he's got his hopes up fo Louis to say yes

"Actually-" Zayn butted in, "Louis is studying at lunch with his mate.. Take a rain check, yeah?"

Louis didn't know what to say. Zayn almost never interferes with other peoples' conversations, but he also never talks to anyone in his classes, besides his friends.

"S-sure. Tomorrow then?" Aiden asked, not Louis, but Zayn

"Tomorrow could work" Zayn agreed

He sounded like he was Louis' agent- controlling his meetings and making plans for him
