"Madara Uchiha?.. Who's that?"

Although it was a name the embodiment of power and the incarnation of greatness, it was unheard of by the younger generations of shinobi. The name that rang through the ages gradually buried away.

Kakashi supposed to answer the question but he was beaten to the punch. "Didn't the Ninja Academy teach it's students anything about history?" For such a young girl, he couldn't believe how snide she was.

'But then again, I've met a lot of kids with this attitude.'

"Huh?!"

"According to history, he was the most powerful Uchiha and along with Hashirama Senju, was a founder of Konoha." Arima spoke, quite blankly as he looked at them with bored eyes, gloomy with disinterest.

"You knew." Kakashi remarked, his eyes closed in a languid smile hardly seen through his mask.

Arima shrugged. "I read a lot."

"Now then, shall you or should I?" Kakashi asked, wanting to let the younger children decide if they want to explain the mission themselves.

"I got it." Endara smiled, and even as they couldn't see her eyes her smile was very charming. "We want to know about the woman in that painting."

It was simple really. But it wouldn't be ranked so high if it was that simple.

Kakashi knew the catch.

'It would be information that's really hard to obtain. But it's suspicious, these children...'

He didn't want to be suspicious of two eight year old children but he had to be. He himself was a child prodigy and he worked with a genius before. Itachi Uchiha.

The way people of the same mind thought was truly intriguing and dangerous. 'It's strange that they requested team seven in particular for this request. Even more so, Lord Third seemed quite anxious.

This kind of mission is not one my team specialises in or have any special skills for. So why? Is it because Sasuke is an Uchiha?'

It was a fact, the name of Madara Uchiha. But most children had never heard of the name because of the painstaking effort put into trying to erase it. But they knew.

"Eh? It's just that? Then we'll be done with this by lunch time!" Naruto said, pumping his fist in the air. "Let's start now!" He declared once more.

"So where do we start?" Sakura mumbled under her breath, gaze still fixated upon the portrait as if bewitched.

"Do you really have to ask? First, let's find out the identity of the person in the portrait." It was Sasuke who pitched in, painting still in hand.

It was very slight but his hands were trembling. He couldn't decide whether he was anxious or excited. It was something about his clan.

He felt conflicted, still most of all wrathful.

"Kakashi-san, lead the way. Konoha has an open archive for these kinds of things, right?" The young girl chirped enthusiastically.

With rosy cheeks and curly black hair, she looked like a doll only with a blindfold. She held a thick walking stick, carved, crafted and polished very well.

'These children must be very wealthy.'

He remembered the down payment they had paid. A generous chest of gold bars, glittering and shining treacherously.

"Sure. I'll lead the way."

'Tack!'

'Tack!'

'Tack!'
