"Battle Cries of Freedom"

[ Before we begin, I have decided to make something relevant to the story, check the above image ]

Pvt. James Ramirez
December 17th, Earth time, 2055
October 18th, Local time, 1097
Rhodes Island MPR

Ramirez turned to see some of the operators, a good number of them bracing themselves after he gave them that notification. "It's ugly, yes, and as far as I know, I don't know if Terra's nations have ever-.." he stopped himself, thinking and shaking his head, "Nevermind, forget I ever said anything"

From behind, the doors opened, that penguin walking in again, dressed like a hip hop artist. Emperor, he thought, the current head of Penguin Logistics, Exusiai and the other's boss then...

Foley welcomed him in, and gave him a seat near the Dokutah. Quietly conversing with them. Ramirez couldn't hear nor tell what he could be saying, How do you read lip on a penguin? He turns around, and clicks a remote, starting the screen again.

"The bloodiest war, your worst enemy... is always yourself..." the narrator ominously began. The projector showed a Union soldier standing with his musket at the ready. At the opposite end, was a Confederate soldier, pointing his musket at him. The Victorian Operators and the Columbians were interested, to them, this seemed new, very, very new.

To Ramirez and the rest of Hunter 2-1, it was all too familiar, and to Exusiai, she felt terrible. "The Union couldn't stay perfectly together forever. A dark problem that the United States failed to really address began to rear its ugly head..." A graphic of a person, a dark-skin colored one, with chains and ragged clothing appeared.

The Dokutah slowly leaned in with interest. Exusiai just hung her head, the others looked on horrifically, "is that...?" Sora began, slowly. "Slavery, the ugly problem that America keeps forgetting to handle."

The man in the suit appeared, "At this time, the United States was growing more sectionally divided between the North and the South." A graphic of America at the time appeared, and the arch state began to be highlighted in different colors. It didn't mean anything, till the color key appeared.

"States in the North were pro-abolition, the removal and dissolution of the idea of Slavery, the south meanwhile..." Texas paled when she saw the state of her same name in a dark color, "The South believed in pro-slavery, and even its extension into more states."

A bit of a shudder of uncomfortableness from Texas, Lappland just looking at her shocked. "They..." Lappland began, looking back at the screen. Ch'en was horrified. The Dokutahs watching didn't know what to say.

"However, it did not mean the United States was entirely content with it, as per the chart..." The screen zoomed in on the Kansas territory, and it showed them live recreations of the event known as Bleedin' Kansas, people shooting each other, the burning of a free-soil town. First class treatment up there. At this time, the projector began to show Washington DC in all of its old glory.

"In American Democracy, Abraham Lincoln has won the Election and is on the road to be the president of the United States in a turbulent time." He was shown, pre-beard, looking off to the side. "However, he was a part of a young, new party at the time. The Republican Party. Which, for all intents and purposes, was against slavery and pro-abolition."

"Good," Sora began, "It's not right to own another human being!" Croissant just rubbed her on the head, "That's right there, missy!"

"So Columbia's doppelgänger had slaves?" Emperor questioned the dokutah, who just nodded, and shushed him. He was intent on letting the scene play. "Yes they did, but I'm wondering how the situation is going to play out."
