"A strange time"

2nd Lieutenant Michael Middleton
December 22th, Earth Time, 2055
October 23th, Terra Time, 1097
Rhodes Island diplomatic offices

It's strange to think that a complex like has a diplomatic office.

But in all honesty, he shouldn't be surprised.

This structure, Rhodes Island - a name that make Michael shudder uncomfortably due to its closeness to Rhode Island as a name - was apparently a large moving city of itself.

Having all of the provisions of a city on itself, like factories, stores, apartments.

It which was no small feat and it was honestly impressive that Square Cube law was not trying to fuck its own brains out seeing Nomadic Cities.

They met with Ms. Kal'tsit. Sometime after immediately landing on the Airpad of Rhodes Island. She had her arms crossed and was looking at them, somewhat impatiently.

Smokton opened the doors, and she let Skadi and Michael in first, before herself, the rest of the team playing with the little Shooting range that Foley's squad set up.

"Today we can speak with Gladiia," Kal'tsit announced when they went through the doors leading to the corridor. "But do hurry, she has an important call back to the Aegir in a little bit, and she does not want to miss it." Smokton gestures to the

It was pretty much impossible for group walking through the corridors to NOT noticed the shocked and surprised looks of several operators.

Hell, when Michael and Skadi walked towards a crowd, with Smokton and Kal'tsit in tow, they all lightly looked and pointed, before getting out of their way.

Michael raised an eyebrow hearing a lot of the comments that was coming their way from the dispersed crowd. "is that the Walking Catastrophe?"

"How are the Earthlings walking with her alive?"

"Why is she even with them?"

She must got some repetitation down here, Michael concluded. Skadi didn't seem to be bothered by it, however Michael began to ponder what why she has such a title as 'Walking Catastrophe'.

The marine continued to think on that, until Kal'tsit called from the back, "Stop." She made them, well for Skadi it was somewhat complied, look at the door that was in their immediate left.

The Ægirian Abyssal Hunters office.

A name that made Skadi's mind race in curiosity and questions.

Michael, Skadi, Smokton, and Kal'tsit patiently waited before Kal'tsit went up to knock 3 times. It was another brief moment of waiting. The a lady, of similar paleness and white hair as Skadi, opened the door.

"Lady Gladiia," Kal'tsit said, a tone of professionalism on her that, in the back of their minds, made the Marines straighten up.

The feeling of somebody important was now present. Smokton and Michael's discipline coming out in full.

With a curt nod, Gladiia welcomed them in. However, she stopped to look at Skadi, who's eyes remain a subtle amount of recognization that Michael and Smokton didn't notice.

She returned to neutral and her hands fell to her side, "Captain."

Gladiia just gestures inside, "We will speak inside. Now," Skadi only complied, walking in. And standing close to the Marines.

Now that everybody was inside, Kal'tsit stood respectfully by the side of the desk while Gladiia turned to face the 2 Americans. "Good day, otherworlders," she kept a firm, yet polite tone, reminding the 2 immediately of the diplomatic tones of leaders that they were familiar with on Earth. "My name is Lady Gladiia, I am the ambassador between the Aegirian people and Rhodes Island, and I am the current standing leader of the Abyssal Hunters," she looks at them expectantly. Skadi also staring at them, seeing how they would address her.
