Chapter Eighteen - The Truth will Set You Free

Crowley's approach sent a shiver down Alexandria's spine, a mixture of excitement and apprehension coursing through her veins. She swallowed hard, her mouth suddenly dry as she tried to gather her thoughts.

"I... I..." she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper as Crowley drew closer. His presence seemed to fill the room, enveloping her in a heady mixture of desire and uncertainty.

Crowley's gaze bore into hers, searching for any sign of weakness. He could sense her unease, her vulnerability, and it only served to fuel his determination to uncover the truth.

"You were going to tell me what you know about Judas," he said, his voice low and commanding. "Don't try to evade the question, Alexandria. I won't be fooled."

Crowley stood in between her legs and slightly grasped her chin with his thumb and forefinger. Alexandria's heart pounded in her chest as Crowley brought her face to meet his intense gaze. He pulled her up from the bed and stood towering over her.

Both of their chests were touching each other. With each breath Alexandria took, she could feel her chest touching his. He stood tall and strong like a great oak tree in the forest. Alexandria felt tiny at this moment like a little sapling. That was stuck in the shadows of that very oak tree, which stood towering over it. Crowley was not going to back down from this challenge. He knew that he could make Alexandria crack, it would only be a matter of time. And at the rate she was going at, it wouldn't be very long.

Crowley began to circle around Alexandria like a snake coiling itself around a tiny mouse trying to entrap its prey. He ran his fingers up her arms and settled his hands on her shoulders. His touch felt like fire against her cold skin. He positioned himself behind her, and he bent down to her ear.

"You can't hide from me, Alexandria," Crowley whispered, his voice a seductive murmur.

"I can see right through you, darling. You can try to keep your secrets, but they won't stay hidden for long. I did tell you downstairs that I would be getting the truth from you tonight, even if I had to wait until after investigating the books."

His words were like a caress against her skin, his warm breath tickling her ear as he spoke. Alexandria's breath caught in her throat, her pulse quickening at his proximity. She could feel the heat radiating off his body, the intoxicating scent of his cologne filling her senses.

"I know you have something to tell me," Crowley continued, his voice low and compelling. "So why don't you just confess, my dear? It'll be much easier for both of us."

Alexandria's mind raced as she felt Crowley's presence looming over her. She knew she couldn't keep the truth from him any longer, not when he was so close, so commanding. She tried to remain strong in herself, but she was on the verge of telling Crowley the truth.

Crowley could sense Alexandria's inner turmoil, the conflict raging within her as she struggled to keep her secrets buried. He knew that all it would take was a gentle nudge to push her over the edge, to coax the truth from her lips. With a devilish smirk playing on his lips, Crowley leaned in closer to Alexandria.

"You can trust me, Alexandria," he whispered, his voice laced with a hint of mischief. "I won't be mad at you; I only want to know how you know that name. Just tell me, darling. Let me help you."

His words were like a siren's call, tempting her to surrender to the truth. Alexandria felt herself teetering on the edge, her defenses crumbling in the face of Crowley's persuasive charm. Before she could process his words, Crowley pulled back from her ear and still stood behind her. Slowly, he gently removed the hair from her neck and moved it over her shoulder. Alexandria closed her eyes and leaned into Crowley's chest. Without warning, he placed his lips on the back of her neck, leaving a line of kisses. Alexandria let out a startled yell at feeling his lips on her skin. Her eyes opened wide, and she suppressed a moan from her lips.
