Chapter Twenty - Blood of the Demon

Alexandria was brought to a luxurious apartment in the Westminster district of London.
The apartment exuded an air of refinement and grandeur, evident in every meticulously curated detail. The walls were painted a deep and lustrous black, which served as a striking backdrop for the opulent furnishings and decadent decor that adorned the space. She was draped across a sleek black leather couch in a spacious living area bathed in natural moonlight streaming through the expansive windows that lined one wall. The view from these windows was nothing short of breathtaking, offering panoramic vistas of the River Thames and iconic London landmarks such as Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster. The room seemed to bask in the glow of the moonlight, creating dark shadows along the room.

The furnishings were plush and luxurious, with sleek black leather couches and armchairs arranged tastefully around a gleaming glass coffee table. Rich gold accents adorned the furniture, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the space. Soft ambient lighting, provided by ornate golden floor lamps and strategically placed sconces, cast a warm glow throughout the room.

Against one wall stood an imposing black marble fireplace, its mantle adorned with gilded candlesticks and intricate figurines. Above the fireplace hung a large, ornately framed portrait of a regal-looking figure, its identity shrouded in mystery.

The apartment boasted modern amenities seamlessly integrated into its timeless design. A state-of-the-art entertainment system occupied one corner of the room, complete with a sleek flat-screen television and surround sound speakers discreetly hidden within the walls. A fully stocked bar stood adjacent to the entertainment area, its shelves lined with crystal decanters and bottles of fine spirits.

Judas stood near the windows, looking out at the night sky. He wore black dress pants and a black dress shirt with his sleeves rolled up. He appeared to be on his cell phone talking to someone.

Judas paced the length of the room, his steps echoing softly against the polished hardwood floor. His expression was tense, and lines of worry were etched deep into his features as he listened intently to the voice on the other end of the line.

"Yes, she's been brought here like discussed," As he spoke, Judas cast a glance toward Alexandria, his gaze lingering on her unconscious form draped across the couch.

"Yes, I understand," he murmured into the phone, his voice low and urgent.

"They did not question you about where you heard your source on where Alexandria had been taken? That's interesting; I would have thought Gabriel would have demanded to know," Judas said.

The voice on the phone began to explain what had transpired at the bookshop in depth. Judas listened and went to his bar to pour him a drink.

As Judas poured himself a drink from the well-stocked bar, he listened intently to the voice on the other end of the line, his brow furrowing with concern as he processed the information being relayed to him.

"I see," he replied, his voice tinged with a note of contemplation. "It seems our little scheme is proceeding as planned, albeit with some unexpected developments."

Judas swirled the amber liquid in his glass as he spoke, the faint scent of whiskey wafting through the air. Despite the gravity of the situation, he couldn't help but feel satisfied with their progress.

"Yes, it seems like both our lords will be pleased with us. Maybe even promotions will happen for us," Judas lips curled into a smile.

"I have a feeling two celestials will try to mess with our goal. If I am correct in my assumption, they will probably be here soon. I need to inject the venom into her, and then we will be one step closer to Armageddon. Keep me updated on any developments from your side, Micheal. Until then."
