The Trudian soldiers that are tasked with protecting Yellowstone city from large mutant monsters reside in a large tower on a hill that overlooks the city. The outpost is surrounded by tall building size trees with no leaves.
The branches at the top of these trees are all twisted together, creating a roof for this dead forest.
It was currently the dead of night. The moon was high in the air, but the people on the ground couldn't see it due to the thick layer of clouds blocking the sky.
Inside the dead forest were two members of Majesty, whose job was to raid the Yellowstone outpost.
One was named Barry, the pilot of a bear transforming Gear.

And his partner Robert, the pilot of a rhino gear.

The two were sneaking through the forest in their Gears animal forms. While in these forms, the sensors of Trudian are unable to differentiate them from other creatures.
Robert: Why are we stuck with this lame job? Give me one good reason why I should do this!
Barry: If we do this we might get a promotion.
Robert: That's a pretty good reason...
