You and Bob always get excited to celebrate the New Year. On the last day of the year, you throw a little party at your house with your closest friends like Joan Baez, George Harrison, and Tom Petty. Everybody drinks and eats. There is music playing in the background while you speak to the guests and everybody is having a good time.
When it's close to midnight, you, Bob, and your friends go to the front yard to watch the fireworks in the distance. You raise a glass of champagne and have a toast with your friends. Bob smiles at you and kisses you on the lips. You can see the flashes of the fireworks sparkling in your lover's eyes.
"Happy New Year, baby.", Bob whispers in your ear.
"Happy New Year, Bobby.", you say when he holds you in his arms while you both watch the fireworks lighting up the sky in a sign of hope that the next year will be full of love and happiness.
