Bob was nervous to meet your parents even though you told him so many times that they would love him. You and Bob were dating for almost half a year and he wanted to meet your parents so you decided to go for lunch at your parents' house on a Sunday.
During the car drive, Bob was behind the wheel asking things like how was your childhood at that place and how were your parents. You knew he was feeling nervous to meet them but there was no logical reason for that because Bob was exactly the kind of guy your parents would love to see you date: Bob was making you happy. That's all that matters to your parents.
And you were right, because your dad loved him. Bob was shy at first but then he began to talk about baseball with your dad and everything was okay. Your mother said to you that she thought Bob was a really nice boy.
So in the end everything went well because you had the best parents in the world and now the best boyfriend too.
