You ran to the back house of the Scouts HQ, it was abandoned and you and Jean would often sneak off in between training. You sat by the lake at the back of the house and burst into tears.

You knew he'd eventually find you, but you needed time to be alone before he did. Your heart felt like it was breaking—how could you be so stupid? So reckless? You wanted a family of course, but how the world is now, the titans, being trapped inside the walls with so many unanswered questions, and now you're bringing a child into this world?

Also, the thought of not being out there with the rest of the Scouts, you felt like you failed them. They needed you, and you couldn't do anything in your state.

Jean. You felt like you were ruining his life. He felt like he needed to protect everyone, now you added another person to that list. You started to curse at yourself for thinking about your child as a burden—but thinking about all that has happened, all the death—you did not want your child to experience all of that.

as you watched the water flow in front of you, you started wonder what the baby would look like. Would it have your H/C? Jean's golden eyes?

You knew you wanted a family with Jean, but you thought it would be when you were older and when the world was right, and safe.

Jean was slumped over the table in their dormitory, he couldn't stop thinking about you and if you were alright. Suddenly, he felt something light his forehead. He looked down to the table and saw a piece of bread. Looking up, he saw Sasha and Connie giggling. "What?" He spat.

"Nothing, you're just so...easy." Sasha giggled and Jean rolled his eyes. "I'm sure she'll be fine." Armin smiled at him.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was just the flu." Connie stated nonchalantly. Jean knew he was overreacting, but seeing you pale and hurling every morning made him feel helpless in protecting you.

He couldn't help but think it was something worse than the flu and there was something wrong with your health. His father passed from a sickness that doctors couldn't explain, and he was nervous about that happening to you.

Suddenly, Erwin and Levi walk in and the Scouts all scramble to stand to salute. "Kirschtein, outside." Was all Erwin said before leaving with Levi and Jean's heart dropped. The last time he was called by Erwin was when his cousin passed. He looked around at the others and they were all looking at each other, concerned.

Armin gave him a reassuring smile, but Jean could tell he was nervous as well. When Jean left the room, the rest of the cadets began to worry as well.

"I-Is Y/N alright...I was just playing...I thought.." Sasha began to tremble as Connie stared at the floor. "If she's not okay—"

"She's fine." Armin spoke up, trying to sound confident but failing.

As Jean met with Erwin and Levi outside, he was thinking of all the possible things that could have happened to you. Did she have a heart attack? Some kind of disease? He wanted to know...so he could protect you.

"S-sir." Jean mumbled as he joined Erwin and Levi.

"Kirschtein, we have to talk." Levi began. Jean gulped, he felt like his heart was about to fall out of his chest. He looked at Erwin who had a solemn expression, he knew it was about Y/N. "Is it Y/N?"

Levi and Erwin looked at each other and nodded. "I-is she okay? What happened? Where is she? Is she..." all the questions that was swarming in Jean's head suddenly came out of his mouth.
