Chapter 28- A Date

Sorry this chapter is so late!!
Also sorry it's super fast and short I just wanted to get to the point asap.

"Hey, Jayden?"

"Yeah?"

"Hanging out with the group today, it kind of made me want to ask, do you wanna do something like that just us two?" He blurted out the last part.

"Like a date?" I asked bluntly.

"Well, yeah," he said.

"Sure," I shrugged, successfully masking my giddiness.

"Great! How about tomorrow. Is that too soon?" He said, excited. I couldn't help but smile at how cute he was acting.

"No it's not too soon," I said as he smiled, squeezing my hand in his. This motherfucker doesn't know what he's doing.

"Okay I'm going to sleep," Ashton announced from his bed.

"Okay?" I said.

"Just wanted to let you know, jeez," he said sarcastically. I chuckled at him, letting him sleep in peace. "Night," I said.

"G'night," he flicked the light off.

The next morning went like usual: sleeping in accidentally, cat fights, being late to breakfast... When we got down, everyone was already there. I smiled at the environment.

More people eat at other places than in the cafeteria, so it wasn't crazy loud, but the mix of conversation was a nice sound.

The rest of the day also went normal, same classes and lunch, then more normal classes. The day passed like a dream. I was too excited for the upcoming date.

"Let's go get changed then we can go," Ashton said as we walked towards to form building, both of us unable to keep the grins off of our face.

"Alright," I looked away, smiling to myself.

We walked back to the dorms, not holding hands this time, since other people were with us, obviously.

I grabbed Ashton's hand as we left the school building together. He wouldn't tell me where we were going. Same as last time.

"For the last time, it's a surprise!" He said excitedly after I asked for the millionth time.

"Yeah, yeah, sure. I don't care if it's a surprise I need to know," I deadpanned at him.

"Nope. Not gonna say," he smirked.

"Bitch," I name called.

"Still not gonna say," he looked ahead. I accepted my fate and kept walking with him.

Obviously we were going to the same city area, since there's literally only one non-neighborhood place around here, or we were gonna go somewhere pretty, like when we went to the park. The only other place I'd been to was someone's house for that party. Never. Again.

As we passed through the neighborhood, around where Grayson took me for pizza, I saw the familiar city up ahead.

"Knew it," I bragged.

"Well, duh, but do you know what we're gonna do?" He raised an eyebrow dramatically. I huffed and ignored him. We headed towards a building I'd never been in before. The sign at the top read Norfolk Lanes.

"Bowling?" I asked, knowing I was right.

"Yup! I haven't been bowling in forever," he smiled at the bumpy beige walls.

"I don't think I've ever been before," I said honestly.

"Oh? Easy win for me then!" He teased.

"Hell no," I challenged, following him in the colorful bowling alley.

He ended up winning, but not by much. I checked my phone for the time. 5:25. Damn that went by fast.

We walked hand in hand out of the alley and he lead me along towards the next place.

"Okay here we are, our final destination," Ashton said in an announcer voice, "if you look to your left you will spot a fancy restaurant that we are not going to," I chuckled and shoved him with the hand he wasn't holding. "What are you craving?" He asks.

"Ummm, not sure. Anything in mind?" I asked.

"I mean there's a Mexican place not too far, and pizza's always an option." He said.

"Mexican's good." I agreed, smiling up at him as he squeezed my hand.

"Alright let's go," he tugged me along to walk next to him.

As we were walking, we almost ran into this guy who had randomly stopped walking.

"Shit," Ashton stopped abruptly, trying not to bump into him. "Sorry I-," he froze. I furrowed my brows and looked at what was wrong with the guy.

When I saw his face, I froze too.
