I have been staring at this word document for what seems like a fucking lifetime. The little line blinking into my soul.
My phone buzzes on the table and I am thankful for a distraction.

It's work. They wanna know if I can pick up and extra shift tonight. Sure, I have nothing else to do.
I get dressed and tell Harry I am headed out.

The drive is quicker than I expect, most people are already out and about and those who aren't are chilling at home on a Thursday.
When I enter the bar there isn't much space to move around. Now I see why the asked me to come in.

It is absolutely packed. It doesn't make sense.

'What's going on?' I ask Daren. 'Some fucking Bach party or something.' He yells over the music and talking.

After I have gotten ready in the back I head back out.

'Hey, how can I help you today?' I say, walking up to a table. 'I'M GETTING MARRIED!' They guy in the middle yells. 'Congrats.' I say blankly.

I don't know if I'll ever get married. After seeing how well my own parents turned out.

'We'll get some spicy drinks and some beers.' He yells back. Spicy drinks? I guess they are already too wasted to care what I give them.

'Hey, make something spicy?' I tell the bartenders. 'And I'll have six beers.' I head over to my next booth.
'What can I get for you?' It's a young couple that are on a date. A lot less rowdy then the booth next door.
I grab the drinks from the bar and walk back over to the Bach party. 'Here ya go.' I slid them onto the table.

'Thanks! I can't believe I'm getting married.' He yells. 'Me too.' I joke back. 'Wait? Do you think I shouldn't be getting married?' I stand frozen, confused where to go from here. 'Uhhh. No, that's not what I meant.' I quickly grab the money and walk off.

I am not dealing with that shit tonight.

I hand the couple their drinks and go back to the bar.

'Bit rowdy tonight hey?' I look over to a guy sitting on a stool beside me. He looks extremely familiar. Him! It's the guy Kaden wanted me to call him about. 'Oh hey!' I say surprised. Honestly I wasn't expecting him to actually show up again, I thought maybe it was a one time off.

'Can I get you anything?' I ask. 'Just a corona please and thanks.' I head around the bar and grab a drink for him. 'So what brings you back?' I ask. 'Maybe just good company.' He winks at me. I bite my bottom lip.

I know I shouldn't think he is hot. Not only is he way older than me and trust me I have been there a thousand times. I really do gotta look for people my own age, but Kaden had seemed very worried about this guy.

'That's sad, you kinda pay for my company.'
'That is pretty true.' He laughs. 'Maybe we could go out sometime and maybe I'd still pay.' He mentions. I can't help but smile, that was a little smooth.

'Hmmmm seems tempting.' He is really cute! NO! I have to remind myself. AGE, Jesus Christ Zo. It's not that hard to not like a guy.

'I'll have to think about it first though.' What I should be doing first is texting Kaden.
'Can I have another?' I grab another beer for him. 'I'll be back.' I mention. I head to the back and grab my phone out.

'Hey, what's happening?' Daren asks me. 'Hey, sorry I just have to quickly text someone. Will only be a second.'
'Alright, make it quick. We are busy tonight.' I quickly go to contacts and find Kaden.

"Hey, it's Zoie. That guy is back." I press send and head back out.

After I serve a few more tables I head back to the bar where the guy is sitting. 'Hey, so you never told me. What's your name?' I ask. 'Luis!' He yells over the music which has somehow gotten louder.
