The following is a direct transcript of a conversation I witnessed on chatwithyourself.com

It is not a story, but it's too short for /r/nosleep and I need to share it somewhere so I'm not the only one stuck thinking about it.

The thing about death is

It can be beautiful

You just need preparation

Patience

And will

I'll tell you the basic formula

And then I'll talk about how to embellish it

You'll need cash

In the early stages of preparation, don't go crazy

Withdraw a little here

Sell a little there

Stockpile it for the winter

In the later stages, you'll sell everything

House

Car

Organs

Anything you don't need to get to the final stage

The final stage is pretty basic in its execution

Go to high roof in public

Throw cash off to draw crowd

Jump

They'll talk about you for weeks

But that's not enough

You want to be talked about forever

That takes skill

Set up a mystery surrounding your death

Set up a trail of clues

Or mutilate yourself and carve weird words into your skin

Or have a strange collection of objects on your body

Fill your pockets with knives

Take a bag of masks with you

All you need is a mystery

Something to make them ask why

But they'll never solve it

Because they'll never realise that the mystery is self serving

You just want to be thought about

You just want to be talked about

You'd give anything to just be noticed
