—'{ Chapter thirty }'—

"it's not there look just pull the drone up" john b says with a sigh. the boat was still steady by me and jj as we heard the bad news. "we can go back down" pipe finished "there no use" i whisper. "we've done it three times there's nothing there" jj stated "shut up" kie yells "hey! he's only stating the truth" i yell back because what has gotten in kiara. "the gold could be buried. we don't know" kie protests "yeah right" i scoff we've almost died multiple times bc of this gold i give up

"if it was there it would've been found on the metal detector okay" john b buds in yelling "somebody beat us to it" john b lowers his voice "or it was never there" jj says under his breath as we drive to the docks. i smack his arm hearing his comment as the ride falls silent.

"can i come over" jj asks as we're walking towards my house "i don't know if my mom is home" i say "if she's not then i should be able to" he smirks. my driveway comes to view i see mine and lucas' car but not my moms "lucas is home" i say looking at him

"we're cool now remember" he says that once again smirking i laugh grabbing his hand dragging him with me

"lucas you home" i yell closing the door behind jj "yes brook in-" lucas stops infront of us "jj" lucas says sternly "lucas" jj does the same "moms gonna be home in like an hour" my brother says looking at me once again "okay" i respond pulling jj you are the stairs toward my room

"no funny buisness pouge" lucas yells "of course not kook" jj yells back i laugh maybe jj and lucas could be friends

i press my back to the door admiring jj as he acts like this is the first time he's been in my room. which he does everytime. "so what do we do now" i ask we've never really hung out with anyone else in the house so my surprise is not unjustified.

"whatever you want to do princess" he says coming towards me. He pulls me towards him wrapping his slightly cold hands around me waist just looking down on me and i'm looking up into his bright sharp blue eyes. i can't help but smile this is real he's my boyfriend he's really mine. "i got it" i say smiling as he loosens his grip i grab a hold of his hand and drag him to my bathroom.

"we're gonna do face masks" i say bending down to get them from under my sink "i do yours and you do mine" i continue showing him the face masks. he nods with a stupid little grin on his face "your a little short those" he says picking me up by my waist and placing me on the sink counter now i was eye level with him "much better" he says giving me a quick kiss.

we continue to play music and do face masks for a while just waiting for the face masks to dry was so hard "take a picture with me" i squealed. reluctantly he agreeed and got behind me wrapping his arms around my waist as we posed for the picture "this is itching my face" he complains for the hundredth time "when can we take them off" he continues "you are such a big baby" i laughed "but it is time to take them off" i say as we both proceed to peel the masks from our face.

"ew this shit looks gross" jj says making a disgusted face as he peels off the last part. i shrug running over and jumping onto my bed without saying anything "hey-" jj blurts out before running and jumping on top of me tickling me to death "hey ahahah stop hhahah it" i say laughing my ass off

He stops tickling me and proceeds to stare into my eyes as i stare back into his. His eyes are filled with something and i can't seem to place it. Suddenly we're pulling each other in for a kiss. It didn't feel like a normal kiss no. this one was more passionate full of more love. it felt like i couldn't get enough of it and neither could be my hands combing through his hair. i needed him he is everything i've ever wanted and more

with the hand that wasn't tangled in his hair i tug on his shirt a little. He pulls away breathless "are you sure about this brook" JJ asks as he's picking up what i'm putting down i simply nod. "words" he says calmly "yes" i let out

Before either of us can say or do anything "hello anyone home" the nagging voice of my mother fills the house. And the love that used to fill our eyes has quickly changed to fear. Utter fear.

"Brooklyn please come down here" i hear her yell again and i can hear lucas talking but can't hear what she's saying "you need to hide" i whisper yell as we quickly get up

I rummage around trying to find my phone to text lucas but i can't find it anyway and im starting to panick the room is starting to feel slower and the air is running out "brook brookie" he says pulling me into him trying to calm me. it doesn't work seeing as my panic is related to my mom finding him "hide J you need to hide" i say pushing him away from me

"brook your having a panic attack let me help you" he try's "ill be okay" i say breathing really hard "just please hide" i spot my phone in the bathroom and race over to it quickly opening to lucas' texts

as if i know im trying to stall but she's not buying it she's heading upstairs now HIDE JJ

more panic filled my brain as i shove JJ into my closet "no matter what happens stay here til i let you out" i say extremely fast "okay" he says with pure concern on his face. I know hes concerned i know he wants to help but right now he needs to be sneaky maybanks

as i close my closet door my bedroom door burst open "what are you doing up here" my mom yells with my brother following her "nothing" i say "did you not here me call for you" she's say and i know thank myself and jj because my speaker is still playing music "sorry mom didn't hear you over my music i was just cleaning my room" i say hoping she won't notice it's a lie

she steps close to me causing me to quiver " listen hear little girl if your lying to me i swear to god i will-" she's interrupted "mom enough leave her be come on" lucas calls out thankfully my mother has favorites because she does exactly what my brother says and leaves

This allows me to let out a breath before opening my closet door only to be pulled into a gently loving hug "your okay baby your okay" he says just holding me "thank you for staying in here" i say softly holding back the tears "ill be sneaky for you anytime princess" he says wiping my tears.
