“Hello sir, what did you say?” Chiamaka asked as she put the phone on loud speaker so Patricia would have hear what the lawyer told her.

“The demand letter has been replied to, after three days sha but the thing is that, the defendant denied everything written and said you are mentally unstable. That you attacked her at her resident and also accused her of abducting your child of which she knows nothing of.” Mr. Wole took a deep breath before he continued, “As it stands now, to be honest with you, to further this case, we need a strong prove that will encourage the court to take it serious. If no strong evidence, the case will not push through and then, there is nothing else to do.” He finished.

“Okay sir! When will you be chanced to come over, so we will be talk on the proves to take this case further. I can not let that evil woman claim my son when I am still alive. Please sir, listen to the voice of a broken mother and help me. I know I do not have enough prove because then I had nothing, but with the little...” Chiamaka could not finish as she broke down in tears and Patricia rushed to embrace her. Everyone could see she has no prove against the woman but then, she still has to claim her son. Even if the child was a product of her past life, he still was the reason she kept living. Secretly all those years, she cried at night and wished she could know the gender she gave birth to and hold him tight in her arms. And now she has seen him, another woman claims him. Uncontroable tears kept rolling down her cheeks and she did not bother to clean it.

“Are you there, Miss Chiamaka?” Mr. Wole asked as she did not say a word again. Or finish her statement.

“She's fine, sir! Just go on with what you have to say.” Patricia lied as she kept rubbing Chiamaka's back.

“Oh, Mrs. Patricia you are there?” Mr. Wole asked.

“Yes I am! Please continue with what you have. We really need to forward this case.” Patricia replied.

“If you have any prove, please keep them for me. I will make out chance tomorrow, though my schedule is tight I will still make it out to visit you.” Mr. Wole said.

“Okay, thank you so much, sir! We are gratefu, sir!” Patricia responded and Mr. Wole hanged up.

“Do we even have a prove?” Chiamaka asked and tears rolled down Patricia eyes “The man knows the case is too weak to be pushed on.” she said in a shaky tone.

“Do not give up now! Let us just keep trying and see how it goes. I know how risky it is but I do not mind. I just want to see you happy! I do not know your past but I know you deserve to happy. Even Susan wanted that! Do you know she made me swear to assist you and i will, not because of her but deep down I feel it is the right thing and since I am a rich widow, my money is yours too!” Patricia tried to encourage Chiamaka.

“Thank you!” Chiamaka mumbled and held Patricia tighter with tears rolling down her eyes.

“Let us be patient with everything. When the lawyer comes tomorrow, we will discuss better.” Patricia encouraged.
