In no time, Davis reached the location and parked his car at the parking lot. He saw different cars and wondered which one Chiamaka came with. Without hasting, he walked into the restaurant and found Chiamaka eating some snacks.

“Hey!” Davis whispered and Chiamaka turned to face him.

Tears almost escaped Chiamaka eyes but she quickly looked away and Davis took a seat.

“Where is my phone?” Chiamaka asked still avoiding eyes contact. Her heart beat increased and she began to feel hot.

“I got you something on my way!” Davis said and pretended not to have heard what Chiamaka asked for.

Chiamaka dropped down her meat pie on her plate and looked at him but not into his eyes. She was scared!

“Here!” Davis presented the rose flowers. Deep down, Chiamaka wished to take it but then, she looked away, picked back her meat pie and began to chew again.

“I asked for my phone not flowers!” Chiamaka said drily as she tried to hide her emotions. She has to move on but how? He body craved for him and her heart would not stop beating. She became so tensed that Davis might notice her hidden emotions.

“I am with the phone but first accept the flowers. I beg of you.” Davis whispered as eyes stared at them after noticing Chiamaka wasn't taking the flowers.

“I did not request for a flower, did i? I only asked for my phone. So i hope you do not mind. Can I have my phone?” Chiamaka asked again and formed up an angry face.

“I am sorry! I know how much I hurt you but please, forgive me, I beg of you. There is not a day I don't think of you. I know it would be difficult for you to forgive me but all I want is a second chance to make things right.” Davis pleaded in a lower tone, to avoid the call of attention.

Chiamaka finished her meat pie and opened her water to drink. Davis was surprised, he could not believe Chiamaka would ever prefer water to alcohol.

“Should I order a drink for you?” Davis asked and Chiamaka frowned.

“I am not broke Davis, i have enough money to care for myself and that of ...” She paused and then looked away. She almost vomited that she was pregnant.

“What's the problem? You look slim and pale. What has been going on with you?” Davis asked and Chiamaka became scared.

'What if he already noticed her pregnancy?' She thought about it and got goosebumps.

“I am fine! Please give me my phone!” Chiamaka replied alittle louder and some persons turned to look at them.

“Please, give me a second chance. I promise, i will things right! I also have something to tell you!” Davis said and Chiamaka turned to him.

“I do not have the time to listen. Give me my phone let me get going. I have other things to attend.” Chiamaka said with a serious face.

“Okay! I will give you but have you gone back for the boy?” Davis asked and Chiamaka got angrier.

“That is none of your business! Now, give me my phone!” Chiamaka yelled and this time, everyone looked at them.

Davis felt embarrassed and brought out the phone. He handed it to Chiamaka and she took it without letting her fingers touch his.

“Chiamaka, I love you! I still love you!” Davis said as Chiamaka put the phone in her purse and tried to stand. His words weakened her but she refused to show it, “Don't you love me back?” He asked.

“No, I don't!” Chiamaka said without looking at him.

“What about the flowers?” Davis asked as Chiamaka walked pass him.

“Keep it!” Chiamaka responded in a harsh tone.

Davis hurriedly, grabbed Chiamaka left wrist and pulled her gently to himself. She felt weak and her legs got weaker. She missed him but he hurt her, so she pushed him away, took the flowers he got for her and threw it on the floor.

“Don't you dare touch me next time. I do not love you!” Chiamaka forced herself to say.

Before Davis would come closer to her, she walked out of the restaurant. Davis knelt down on the ground as tears rolled down his eyes. He watched through the glass as Chiamaka got into a car and drove away.

Everyone in the restaurant began to whispered among themselves and Davis frowned.

“No one should dare to judge her. What you just experience was nothing. I deserved it! So do not dare to judge her actions.” Davis said and walked out of the restaurant.
