Protecting Her

Chapter Seven

Mason Black

I walk into the pack house to see Sarah going up the stairs in a hurry, muttering some words under her breathe. I feel like going after her to see if she's okay but I stop myself and just go to the living room, I let myself drop onto a couch sighing.

"You good bro?" Josh asks sitting across from me
"I don't know what's been up with me lately" I say
"Mating season probably, she may be near or your Alpha ass just doesn't like being on someone else's territory" He says, I chuckle a little
"It's probably that" I joke making him laugh a little too then Drew comes out looking worried and upset

"Drew, everything okay?" I ask standing up, Josh follows my lead
"No, no, no" He says, he looks like he's been crying
"What's wrong?" I ask as Steve walks in chuckling with Kevin but they stop once they see and feel that somethings wrong
"Mandy and I have been keeping something from Sarah and we just told her" He says

"What is it?" I ask, he sighs
"I'm not her father, her biological father" He says, my eyes slightly widen
"What do you mean?" Steve asks
"Mandy got pregnant by someone else, we suspect her biological father is a Fairy trying to get her. For what, we don't know. He could just come face to face but he's making it much more difficult and dangerous" He says

"So, the attacks have been from her father" Josh says, Drew shrugs nodding
"We think, Mandy doesn't remember if he was fairy. I don't know the scent of a fairy to know either" He says
"How did Sarah take it?" I ask
"She's upset, confused. Mason, would you go up there and see if she's okay please son?" He asks, I gulp and nod

"Sure, don't worry. We'll work this out" I say, he nods then I look at Steve
"Shit just got complicated" He mindlinks me I nod as I go up the stairs. I knock on her bedroom door

"Go away" Her small soft voice says, I can tell she's crying just by it
"Sarah, please let me in" I say, it's silent then the door unlocks and opens a little. I let myself in and close the door as I see her get back onto her bed wiping her eyes

"What do you want Mason" She says sniffling, I near her licking my lips then sit on her bed with her
"I just wanted to see if you're okay. Drew told me what happened" I say, she sighs
"I'm, I don't know" She says then starts crying again and I pull her into my arms rubbing her back

"It's okay, we'll figure this out Sarah" I say, she clutches my shirt as she cries and I don't know why but my heart is beating super fast and I'm feeling so weird inside as I hold her in my arms. It hurts me seeing her cry but I don't know why.

"Oh Mason, I've grown up thinking he's my Dad when he really isn't. Why would they keep this from me" She cries

"Sarah, Drew is your dad. He is more your dad than your biological dad. They kept it from you because, what parent wants to tell this to their child? And I'm sure they were going to tell you regardless" I say, she pulls away a little and I reach up wiping her tears, her wet cheeks, softly with my thumbs

"So if my biological father is a Fairy, why is he doing all of this?" She asks, her voice low in a whisper
"I don't know but we will find out okay? Now please stop crying, it sucks seeing you cry" I say softly, she looks into my eyes nodding a little. My eyes look at her lips, the perfect size lips, they look so soft, I look back at her beautiful eyes, fuck Levi is also in a trance by her beauty

"You're so beautiful Sarah" I whisper, her cheeks go a little pink. I feel myself starting to lean in a little then theres a knock at the door that makes me jump away from her as the door opens
"Mason, can I have a moment with my daughter?" Mandy peaks in, I stand up gulping as I nod

"Yeah" I say as she walks in and I step out, I look back at Sarah then walk away. What the hell was I about to do?
