Chapter Thirteen

I deepen the kiss grabbing her face in my hands, her small hands grip my shirt. I pull away slowly, both of us breathing heavily
"Wow" She whispers, I chuckle
"My mate" I say softly, she blushes
"I won't let anything happen to you, I'll forever protect you" I say, she looks at me

"Mason, this is my fight against my father. Understand that I want to handle this myself" She says, I sigh
"I know it is but I won't let him hurt you, I'm going to be there to make sure of that" I say, she smiles up at me

"We just found each other as mates and you're already possessive" She teases, I shrug
"Get used to it babe" I say and she blushes again
"But Mason, I'm serious" She says, I sigh

"Fine, I won't interfere if you can really handle it" I say, she smiles
"Thank you" She says, I nod looking down at our hands that are together
"What now?" I ask, she lifts my face up to see her beautiful smile
"We're mates, we'll take it step by step" She says
"In that case, can I ask you to be my girlfriend or is it too soon?" I ask, she smiles wider
"You can, we already know a lot about each other so it's the perfect time" She says, I grin

"Well then, Sarah, will you be my girlfriend?" I ask, she nods
"Of course" She whispers leaning in connecting our lips, I smile against her soft lips and pull away slowly
"Want to watch a movie?" I ask, she nods
"Which movie?" She asks as I lead her to the pillows in front of the white screen and I set up the projector
"Finding Dory" I say, her eyes widen
"What?! Oh my god I've been waiting so long for this" She says, I chuckle
"Believe it or not, so have I" I say, she giggles and I sit down as it starts, she leans on me so we cuddle
"This is the perfect date, thank you" She whispers, I kiss the top of her head
"There will be even more, I promise" I say, she cuddles closer and we watch the movie.

Next Day

"Go go go! Move it!" I yell at the warrior wolves, they are running today some Redwood are in bad shape
"Bro, let's get them to fight each other? Get there combat in check" Steve says, I nod agreeing and Dennis lets out a howl making all the warriors line up. They're all breathing heavily and sweaty from running under the burning sun

"The warrior next to you, to your right, is who you will be fighting against right now. We want to see how good you all are with your hands, because trust me, just fighting in your wolf form wont work with fairies" Steve says
"Spread out! Start!" I say, they do as told and start going one on one. Steve and I, along with our lead warrior and beta watch each of them.

As I watch two of my pack members, her beautiful scent hits me, I turn around to see her outside the door on the porch. She smiles at me and I can't help but smile back, nobody knows we are mates, we haven't told anyone.

"Whats with the smiles bro?" Steve asks smirking
"Nothing, I can't smile at my mate" I say then walk away, it takes him a minute to follow me
"Wait what?! Mate?! Bro!" Steve says, a huge smile on his face, I smile too shrugging. He laughs and hugs me

"I'm happy for you! How? When? Wait, yesterday!" He says putting the pieces together and I just nod
"You're the first to know" I say, her scent gets stronger
"Damn, what an honor" He says, I roll my eyes then feel her arms wrap around me

"Morning Steve" She says
"Morning Sarah" He says
"Morning beautiful" I say turning around, she blushes
"Morning" She whispers and we kiss
"I'm going to go" Steve says leaving, making me laugh pulling away
"He's the first you've told?" Sarah asks, I nod

"I thought we could tell everyone during dinner" I say, she nods
"Agreed, look I'm going to the mall with Cindy and I know you guys have to follow me everywhere so, lets go?" She asks, I nod
"Alright, hold on" I say turning around going to Steve

"Girls want to go shopping, we have to go with them" I say, he nods
"Lets go then" He says, I look at Dennis and Josh
"You guys can wrap this up" I say, they nod. Steve and I go to Sarah and Cindy then head to the mall, great this should be fun, not.
