The Burden Of Stars

I have a burden in my chest, I'm ready to set it free
I'll plant a memory beneath this painted galaxy

I know how much you love the sky so I'll draw you the stars

Before I close the door on life - it's been, indeed a test - I'll say goodbye to what needs to be laid to rest
It has been difficult but worth it, I see

The clouds will pass and I confess, the stars were not meant for me
But, if you think again of water coloured skies
Remember that I saw the sunlight in your eyes
