Chapter 6 | D-day

2017- August 22

You looked at the mirror that was in front of you. You had nice ashy rose coloured lips with natural make up that emphasised your western features. Hair was nicely curled, showing off the the highlights you had with in your natural hair colour. You wore a tight cropped black tank top with black high waisted knee-ripped jeans, paired with maroon coloured doc-Martin boots. You clasped your sweaty palms together, does your outfit look nice? Is your sweat starting to smudge your makeup?

This always happens to you, even though just like Chan, you were experienced with the trainee showcases, being a regular participant you know exactly how the flow goes. But you just can't help let your nerves get the best of you.

You warmed up by stretching out a bit, trying to relax your tense muscles. At the corner of your eye you saw the rest of your team all dolled up and casually walking into the room. They greeted you with quick hugs once they saw you.

The dance unit gathered and discussed a few bits and pieces and final reminders you had for each other. Then you went to the toilet because you're bladder just needs it when you're nervous

You were walking down the hallways when you saw cameramen following who seems to be Woojin around. So the survival series starts now...

You knocked on a dressing room door and turned the door knob. You saw a familiar face that caught you attention

"Tzuyu!" You said enthusiastically while jumping into her embrace

"Hey." She smiles seeing you after a good while

"I missed you guys" You pouted which caught Jihyo's attention

"Who's my favourite dongseang" Jihyo practically squished you're cheeks in her hands, but Jeongyeon came to peel her off of you.

"Thank you unnie..." you smiled at your sunbae

"No problem, so what brings you here?" She fixed your hair a bit while asking

"Just nervous...It's the debut showcase thingy as you guys may know..." you sighed thinking of how you and Chan haven't spoken to each other ever since he stormed out

"Aww...Don't feel sad or nervous, I'm sure you'll be fine and eventually work things out." Chaeyoung gave you a light squeeze knowing who she's referring to which you got, loud and clear

You hummed in response and smiled to them. Suddenly there was a knock on the door which caught all of your attention, a boy with curly silver hair stuck his head in

It was Chan...

You quickly hit behind the door with Chaeyoung's guidance and she opened the door to let the guy in. You were sharp and noticed a cameraman following Chan around, after the two of them coming in, Chaeyoung slip you through, hopefully unnoticed by the two guests. Chaeyoung gave you a small wave and the rest of twice gave you a reassuring look before you left.

You heard laughs and comments teasing the young leader. You smiled to yourself and went back to your dressing room.

"Remember, this is your road to debut Channie." Jihyo smiled at the shy Aussie and gestured the gap between the row of girls on each side of the small dressing room. The leader smiled and nodded.

"Ok, I'll go back to shoot the other members." The cameraman stopped the recording and went out of the dressing room, Chan was bowing a polite thank you to him.

"Ow...Noona..." Jeongyeon slapped Chan on the arm

"What's going on with you and Y/N huh?" She crosses her arms while sending Chan a glare
