peacefully, i slept
no nightmare could deliver its effect
i was warm in the sheets i once wept
memory of my traumas grew stale
the way you'd beat me for any fail
how your words killed my mind so well
i was in a good place there
with no need to be too aware
able to rest with my body bare
but the relaxation disappeared then
and all of a sudden,
the air thickened,
and i was breathless when
i saw you again.
