Su Yongqiang and the rest did not expect that Su Tang and her brother had more clothes in addition to the clothes they were wearing. Plus, it was obvious that they had not had them for long, since they were still half made.

"There are still more materials. Where did they get the money?" The onlookers were curious. Even if the material used was the cheapest coarse cloth, not many people could buy so much of it at once.

"Those who know anything about my brother and I probably know something. That is, my brother and I have never worn new clothes since the day we were born." Su Tang suddenly started speaking.

"But now that we have been adopted and are carrying on our father's name, we managed to save a little money. That's why we wanted to be generous with ourselves for once, so we bought enough coarse cloth to make two sets of clothes for each of us."

"And, as for whether I made these clothes... There must be someone here who knows some needlework? You are welcome to come and check if the stitching is the same as the stitching on the clothes we're wearing. If someone confirms the stitching is the same, the rest will be simple. I can just directly show you now."

Su Tang held up the unfinished clothes in her hands and asked someone to come and check the stitches. This was a good form of proof, wouldn't anyone know the truth after looking at the stitching?

When she saw no one walking up Madam Wen, who was holding her child in her arms, exchanged glances with Madam Tong and then took the lead to walk forward. The two young wives began to check carefully

"In addition to these wives from Su family, would the wife of another family please come and have a look?" Su Tang spoke again. She needed someone who wasn't a member of the Su family to verify so no one would accuse them of lying.

After a moment, two wives from other families came and looked carefully at the clothes in Su Tang's hands. Several of the people around praised, "What excellent work. Some women in the village can produce needlework like this, but not many."

Don't think that just because needlework could be regarded as the most common skill of all peasant women, that they were all the same. Even though they were all sewing, some were good at it, while some were not so good. After all, even for the most basic kinds of skills, there was a difference between the dexterous and the clumsy, and a difference between the skilled and the unskilled.

When Su Tang heard the other women praising her, she smiled and said, "Thank you."

After thanking them, she took the clothes back and picked up her needle and thread before beginning to sew the clothes right there in front of everyone. "At first I didn't know how to make clothes. I really have to thank my niece Su Nuan for her guidance. Actually, my brother and I didn't know many things when we first started to live alone but, thanks to the help from Brother Yongqiang and Brother Yongshun, we've slowly learned a lot of things. So I really have to thank Su Nuan for teaching me to make clothes."

The people around only saw that she could talk casually while her needle stitched across the coarse cloth at a steady pace, and soon a row of neat and orderly stitches appeared.

It was obviously the same kind of stitching that was on the clothes she was wearing, and everyone could see Su Tang making it herself, right in front of them. They were all surprised to see that Su Tang was so clever with her hands and so good at needlework.

When some people saw that Su Tang was doing such a good job, they looked over at Su Nuan with some appreciation. After all, if Su Nuan didn't have some skills, she wouldn't be able to teach Su Tang so well.

Meanwhile, Su Nuan was feeling very embarrassed. As a matter of fact, she really didn't teach Su Tang much at all. She would say a few words and Su Tang would immediately be able to do it. And now she was even better at needlework than Su Nuan herself was.

Su Tang sewed for a while before stopping and showing the clothes to the women who had just checked her stitching. "Everybody, take a look and tell us whether or not I made it myself."

In fact, as soon as she had begun stitching everyone was more or less convinced. So as soon as they walked up to check, they would almost immediately nod and say agree.

"These clothes are indeed the result of work done by one person, comparing the two, they're almost the same."

Su Tang looked over at Madam Zhao and grinned, "Sister-in-law, would you like to have a look?"

Madam Zhao did not bother to speak. The truth was right in front of her and since things had come to this point she did not have the ability to confuse black and white. When Su Tang saw that Madam Zhao didn't dare to speak, she smiled thinly.
