"Of course, if you're too scared, then forget it." Su Tang smiled again when she saw the young man's nervous face.

"What are you laughing at? Who's afraid? I'm from the Luo family of Beikou... I'm not afraid of you. " Luo Xingchen quickly raised his head as if to show that he was not afraid.

"Then Young Master Luo, please!" Su Tang used her hand to make a 'follow me' gesture.

Luo Xingchen looked at her, pouted, and then followed Su Tang to the Song residence. Soon, Pengmo opened the door and was shocked to see Su Tang had come back with a young man in tow. He said, "Young Miss, this?!"

"Some words are a bit inconvenient to say about outside. Follow me, we can talk in one of the back courtyards to avoid disturbing my master." Su Tang ignored Pengmo's surprise and talked to Luo Xingchen. She had given it some thought and decided that, since she didn't want to disturb the life of this young man of the Luo family, it would be better to have their conversation inside the Song residence.

After all, in the courtyards of the Song residence the only people there were the master-servant pair, Song Yi and Pengmo. Plus, Su Tang and Su Nuo were the only ones who ever went in and out, so if she took her guest to one of the back courtyards and let the orange cat stand to watch outside, there would be no need to worry that anyone would overhear their conversation.

When Pengmo heard Su Tang say that, he nodded along and said, "Young miss, quickly take him to the back courtyard but, don't let him stay too long, because your master does not like outsiders."

Although Song Yi had accepted Su Tang as his disciple and seemed to be not as cold and listless as before, in truth, he only accepted Su Tang. He was still very cold even to Su Nuo, not to mention random outsiders.

Su Tang nodded. "Don't worry about Pengmo, I understand. When we finish talking, I'll send him out the back door."

"Well, then hurry up young miss!" Pengmo quickly made way for two people, and Su Tang took Luo Xingchen to the back courtyards and found an empty room to sit her guest down in.

Su Tang sat in a chair and then looked over at Luo Xingchen. "Go ahead and sit down, no one will be able to hear us here."

"Do you really know the truth? No, there's no way. How could you know, even though no one else has ever found out, even after so many years? However, if you want to use this to threaten me to acquiesce to the terms of cooperation that you mentioned, let me tell you now, it's impossible. I am a member of the Luo family from Beikou. I have a lot of money, so killing you isn't hard for me at all. What happens next all depends on you." Luo Xingchen stared hard at Su Tang and spoke in a grave tone.

"Miss, if I wanted other people to know, would I go to the trouble of bringing you here to talk alone like this? I still want my life, okay? Since I dare to talk to you alone, do you really think that I have nothing to rely on to protect myself? You are not the only smart girl in the world, okay?"

Su Tang rolled her eyes. She was really made speechless by the other girl's words. That's right. The other 'girl'.

When she had seen Luo Xingchen for the first time today, she actually hadn't been able to see through it at all but, fortunately, there was someone with very good eyes by her side. The orange cat had seen through it at a glance and had directly asked Su Tang, 'Why is that female two-legged beast dressed like that?'

From his question, Su Tang had found out that Luo Xingchen, who completely looked like a handsome young man, was actually a girl dressed as a man. To be honest, there was no flaw in her disguise and, if it hadn't been for the orange cat, Su Tang would never have seen through it.

And, because she knew that Luo Xingchen was a woman disguised as a man, Su Tang had been very suspicious that the other party was lying about her identity, or colluding with Yang Fude somehow, or maybe that she was some sort of conwoman that wanted to cheat both of them.

That was why Su Tang had asked the orange cat to follow the two people and try to find out what was going on. However, the orange cat told her that the two weren't colluding and, when she saw Yang Fude's attitude towards Luo Xingchen, she decided that it seemed the identity of 'Luo Xingchen' wasn't faked. However, Su Tang still didn't fully believe that this person was really a member of the Luo family from Beikou.

So she decided she needed to talk to Luo Xingchen alone, first, to confirm her identity. And second, to confirm that she wasn't trying to pull some kind of scam. However, although she knew the other party was a woman disguised as a man, and that she may even be some sort of scam artist, Su Tang herself was also a girl. She knew very well that it wasn't easy for women in this era, so she was more inclined toward leniency.
