"It seems that your thoughts are thousands of years ahead of the other people in the era. Perhaps no one else in this time, besides me that is, would agree with you but that glimmer that you've grasped is undeniably the truth."

Su Tang was actually even more surprised than Luo Xingchen right now. She had never imagined that despite the era and background this girl was born in, despite not being a fellow transmigrator but rather a naturally and natively born woman, she could still have such thoughts and could say such words.

However, Su Tang had to admit, it was really cool. After all, those things were all things that she herself would have liked to say.

Luo Xingchen was a little dazed and could only muster a: "Huh?"

"To a degree, marriage is just a burden for women, and if you unluckily marry a person who is no good, you might end up wasting your entire life. Moreover, if a man and woman receive the same education and the same experience, is there any meaningful difference between them? No, of course not, they will come out with roughly the same amount of ability."

"The men of this society control the entire world of the women, they don't let women go out to learn, and then they come back and say that 'a woman without talent is virtuous'. But if they really believed that the way to be virtuous was to have no talent, wouldn't that mean that they all had no virtue themselves?"

Su Tang was very dismissive of the fundamental tenants the people of this feudal era abided by and, to go even further, she felt that even in the so-called modern era where people crowed about equality between men and women, there was no real equality.

In fact, a person's ability had nothing to do with their gender, except in a very narrow and specific range where minor physical differences were significant. In the modern era, men and women were supposedly equal, however, human beings would always put down their own rules to build their own cages so, in reality, society was rife with an unconscious bias that men were superior and women were inferior.

Back when Luo Xingchen had first had these ideas and told her mother, her mother had held her and cried against her chest, apologizing between her tears.

However, Luo Xingchen had never felt too aggrieved by her lot in life. Even if there were a few days each month that were a bit uncomfortable she enjoyed her present life very much, the life of Second Young Master Luo.

And now, when Su Tang heard her crazy thoughts, it seemed she didn't actually think she was crazy at all. Rather, it seemed she agreed with her, which really shocked her.

"You really think that? You don't think I'm crazy?" Luo Xingchen asked Su Tang.

Su Tang nodded. "Of course, what's crazy about it? If I had the opportunity, I would love to travel the world, earn money, and live my life free and without restraint."

"As for marriage, haha, they want me to wait on a man? Don't joke with me. I'm not the type who can serve, and even if I could, why would I ever want to?"

She had never really planned to get married, even in her previous life, and now that she was in this feudal society her desire had only gone down. She really had no intention of getting married, which was part of the reason she had previously spread her reputation for a 'hard fate'.

The only hitch was that she had pledged to let Su Laochuan's family line continue, however, there was still Su Nuo. One day Su Nuo would marry a wife, while she would start her own business, make a lot of money, and then live her life freely.

"Wow, you really aren't lying to me. That's so incredible! In the past, I once told my mother about my thoughts but she just cried and thought I was crazy. Because of that, I always felt that maybe I was wrong, but at the same time, I've always been very happy living my life this way. It was like I was happy, but the world was saying that I was wrong."

Luo Xingchen was so excited that her eyes turned red.

"It's the world that's wrong. We are right." Su Tang replied with great certainty.

Luo Xingchen, who had been looking at Su Tang, suddenly smiled. "All of a sudden I feel that was the right decision for me to come here to Qinghe Town. By coming here, I met you and learned that I'm not the only one in this world who thinks like this."

Su Tang smiled wryly when she heard Luo Xingchen say that. In truth, the other girl actually was alone. After all, she was just a soul from another world.

"Anyway, let's introduce ourselves again. My name is Luo Xingchen. I'm 15 years old, a woman who thought she was a man ever since she was a child. And now I'm aiming to be the next head of the Luo family!" Luo Xingchen looked at Su Tang and introduced herself earnestly.

Su Tang returned her look seriously. "Nice to meet you. I'm Su Tang. I'm eight years old, I have always felt that I was a woman, but I firmly believe that women are not inferior to men."
