In a blink, Su Tang began to sell herself because she really wanted to establish a relationship with Master Song. However, for his part, he was feeling very stunned. Why hadn't he noticed that this Miss Tang was such a person? She was so thick-skinned!

But if you asked Su Tang, she would tell you that the thickness of her skin depended on who she was facing. She had no idea when she might next meet another person who seemed as knowledgeable as the person in front of her so she felt considerable pressure to hurry up and befriend him. She couldn't mind something like the thickness of her skin at a time like this.

Song Yi only thought that this little girl was pretty clever and also a bit strange, and she really reminded him of how his wife used to be when she was younger. Because of her difficulties at home, his wife had also always been looking for a job anywhere she could find one, and had always been fighting for every single copper coin she could earn.

Back then, she had chased him for two streets to get him to pay her two copper coins he had owed. After he paid the money obediently, she seemed to realize that he was very rich, so she had started spending all of her time trying to find ways to make money from him. However, she had never really tried to trick him, rather she always wanted to exchange things that she had made or found.

And like that, they slowly became acquainted with each other, until they both knew each other fairly well, and eventually, they became husband and wife.

Later, Song Yi became famous and joined the imperial court and she suddenly became the wife of an official. After that, whenever she would go out the other noble women would often laugh at her so she worked hard and learned all of the rules until she became a true model wife of an official but, at the same time, she seemed to lose most of the 'cleverness' she had when she was young.

Now when he saw this Su Tang so blatantly playing her little tricks in front of him, Song Yi saw through it instantly, but he also found it a bit nostalgic and amusing. He looked down at Su Tang seriously and said, "I'm not an ordinary person? Why didn't I know that? By the way, little girl, have you ever done any studying?"

Su Tang hesitated when she heard this question but eventually, she said reluctantly. "Hmm, it's hard to say that I have but also maybe hard to say that I haven't. If I had to say, then what I've learned hasn't been from 'studying'..."

Song Yi smiled because he thought the little girl was playing some kind of trick. He prompted her to continue: "Mhm?"

Su Tang sighed, "Just... I just understand a little bit. But this matter shouldn't be known to others, because even I do not know why I know the little bit that I do."

Song Yi shook his head. "Well, mischievous girl, do you want to make clothes for me?"

Su Tang quickly nodded. "I do. Does this mean you agree?"

Su Tang was quickly calculating in her heart as they spoke. She could just make the clothes slowly, since Song Yi didn't have anyone else in his house he could rely on to make them in her place. As long as she had enough contact, she would definitely have a chance.

Song Yi shook his head again. "I'm hungry. Go to the kitchen and make me something to eat, then I'll think about it."

"Dare I ask, is there any connection between cooking and making clothes?" Su Tang asked while thinking with some annoyance: Why was it that she wanted to trick someone into letting her make clothes for them, but somehow she ended up having to show off her cooking skills?

Song Yi replied in a solemn tone. "No, I just want to try your food."

Sir, you're so capricious. Does your late wife know about it? Su Tang complained in her heart but, out loud, she said, "Alright."

Who asked her to try to trick him? Whatever, she would just cook. With that, Pengmo took her to the kitchen and when she got there she noticed that the kitchen was not small at all. It seemed to have a very complete array of cutlery and ingredients.

Su Tang slowly checked what was available, confirmed what she intended to make, and then began to get busy.

Pengmo watched from the side for a moment before realizing that he would be of no help here, so he went back to see Song Yi and asked, "Master, what are you planning to do?"

"That little girl, she's just like how she was when she was younger, she likes to deceive people the same way." Song Yi had a nostalgic smile as he spoke.

Pengmo breathed a sigh of relief when he heard that, because he somehow felt that his master had untangled a knot in his heart. Then he heard Song Yi say, "Beijing is becoming more and more chaotic, and I don't really have anything to do in this small Qinghe Town, so maybe I'll just take in a disciple."

"What?" Pengmo was shocked when he heard what Song Yi said. He had never expected his master to have an idea like this.
