Mahito, a close partner of Geto Suguru, always held high expectations from the curse user. He was a man of great intelligence and was very odd for a human being. But nonetheless, Mahito never doubted the man and his plans if he ever revealed his sacred schemes. When Geto revealed to him that he planned to awaken the great curse, Menreiki, Mahito couldn't help but shake in excitement. Mahito wanted to see her as soon as awoken. He wanted to be the one to greet her into this new realm, but Geto ceased his daydreaming.

"You're still like a child," Geto mused lightly with his signature smile. "You probably haven't heard but Menreiki eats curses. At least from what the lore says. If she's overwhelmed, I'm afraid she might go crazy."

Mahito crossed his arms over his chest, disappointed to say the least. He was a curse so a curse greeting another curse should've been more than welcoming, right?! Besides, a curse's natural enemy were sorcerers and even if Menreiki didn't see Geto as one, he was still a human that utilizes cursed energy. So if anyone was in danger, it would be the human, not him. He wasn't even sure if Geto would succeed in awakening Menreiki, doubting him for the first time in a long time.

But when he felt an immense presence wash over him, he couldn't help but jump out of the beach chair he rested in. He paced the beach domain of his fellow curse—Dagon—his large grin never wiping from his face. He couldn't calm down knowing that there was a fifty-fifty chance of Menreiki being brought here or her turning into an enemy. Either outcome would make him insanely joyous to the core!

Oh, he couldn't wait.

He just wanted to see the old curse right now!

When Geto suddenly walked through the door that allowed him passageway into Dagon's domain, Mahito shook in excitement. As Geto walked in, another thing followed, and that thing was none other than a floating girl. She was accompanied by a large mask the size of her curled up body that circled around her. Her knees were pulled close to her as much as possible and Mahito didn't have to ask Geto who she was for her presence revealed everything.

It was truly her.

Before him was none other than Menreiki!

However, as they came closer, Mahito noticed something being held close to her chest. It was almost hidden considering how she was positioned, but Mahito noticed a clear bag. He raised an eyebrow at it, something that Geto took notice of. As Menreiki stopped just a few feet away from Mahito, Geto approached him with a chuckle. Quietly, he answered his unasked question, "It's a bag of bread. She noticed it on the way back."

"So you bought her it?"

"It's something new to her," Geto shrugged. "Bread wasn't introduced to Japan until the Sengoku Period. She was long gone by then."

From behind Geto, he could see Menreiki hug the bread closer to her, and he held a small bout of doubt in his mind. The great big curse was none other than a big child! Geto looked back at the girl, gesturing her over with a wave of his hand, "Menreiki, let me introduce you to another curse."

She merely continued to float in place which prompted Geto to stroll towards her. He spoke in a gentle whisper, too quiet for Mahito to truly make out the words. When he turned back around, Menreiki followed close behind him. Geto waved a hand towards Menreiki, "Menreiki, this is Mahito, another ally. Mahito, this is the famed Menreiki."

Menreiki's body tilted forward, almost as if she was bowing. The kitsune mask ceased its orbiting as a young man's voice spoke, "Master is pleased to meet you. An ally of Suguru is an ally of Master."
