Two days later, something happened that changed a lot of lives. The oberoi elders were curious why Shivaay had assembled all of them in the hall. He entered the house with a girl, Rupali. The oberois had known the Saxena's for quite some time thanks to their social circle.

The Saxena's were quite successful in the business world. Rupali is the only child of Mr Gajendra Saxena. He lost his wife in an accident 20 years ago. Rupali has been a pampered child, her father makes sure she gets everything she wants.

Rupali greeted everyone, quite nicely.

Tej: what's going on shivaay?

S: bade papa, Rupali and i want to get married

Pinky: Whats! You want to marry her totally out of the blue. Are you guys dating?

S: We've known each other since college and we think we're right for each other. And you all already know her family so it's not like she's a stranger

Out of all the people in the house at this time only daadi knew about shivaay's relationship and she was shaken.

Daadi: Shivaay are you sure puttar? Do you really want this?

Worry and confusion were clear on her face and shivaay knew exactly what was going on inside daadi's mind

S: Yes daadi, I've been confused before. But i'm absolutely certain now

S(in his mind): I know you're thinking about Annika, daadi. But this is what I need.

Daadi was not convinced but she remained quite, she would talk to shivaay in private about this

Shakti: Beta Rupali, does your father know about your decision?

Rupali: Yes shakti uncle, i spoke to him this morning about it. He's happy with this decision

Tej: Well that settles it then. We should invite Mr Saxena and talk about it

S: there's another thing

Pinky: what shivaay?

S: We don't want to wait for long. We're sure about each other and want to start our new life soon

Jhanvi: We'll discuss that with Rupali's father first.

S: i have already invited him over for dinner tonight

Jhanvi: someone's in a hurry to be hitched.

Pinky: Oh my maata, this is all happening too quickly

Shakti: pinky you complain too much. When he didn't want to get married then also you cribbed and now when he wants to get married then also

Pinky: what can i do shakti ji, this boy does as he wishes. First he kept on delaying everything and now he wants to rush it all.

In the evening Mr Saxena came over to Oberoi mansion with Rupali. The elders discussed the wedding prospects and fixed the alliance.

MrSaxena: Our family pandit has suggested we should get them engaged tomorrow

Pinky: tomorrow!

Shakti: that's not possible

Tej: Gajendra what's the hurry

MrSaxena: I understand it's too soon but our pandit has said it's an auspicious date for Rupali's married life.
