Chapter five: "Geeky Dork"

"Ouch" I flinched when the doctor touched my ankle, I was in Cloud's bedroom when he called a doctor to check up on my sprained ankle.

"It is still swelling a bit and you are in pain when it moves so I recommend a lot of rest and putting some ice on your ankle to reduce the swelling, we'll meet again next to check up to check your progress" she smiled at me before packing up her belongings.

"Thanks, doc," I said to her

She waved goodbye to me before exiting Cloud's bedroom, Cloud was leaning at the wall with his arms crossed during the entire check-up.

We heard someone open the front door and I could hear a lot of footsteps before I can see my entire family who came to visit me "Hey Sis!" Natalie exclaimed happily as she walked up to me then hugged me.

"Does it hurt when I touch it?" Ella said as she tries to touch my ankle.

My foot was laid on a pillow for some leverage and to avoid moving much, Mom stopped Ella before her fingertips could touch it.

"Why are you all here?"

"Well you see dear sister, your beloved boyfriend used his family plane to bring all of us here to accompany you and so we can go to the outfit fitting together" Wendy explained.
Wait, I didn't know about this

I turned to face Cloud "You should've told me that they were coming"my mouth formed a wide grin.

He removed his back from the wall then shoved both of his hands deep in his pockets "You look like you needed to see them, I saw you last week glancing at your family photo with a sullen face"

Hold on, I thought he was taking a shower while I did that?

Nevertheless, he still surprised me by flying my family here to visit me

"Thank you"

I appreciate what Cloud did to surprise me because being alone somewhere far away from the people you care about is not the first time for me and yet I have to experience it again. My sisters all decided to hang out in Cloud's bedroom with me while Cloud and both of my parents were out.

Caramia walked around Cloud's bedroom "Who knew a guy like Cloud doesn't have any playboy magazines?" She checked under the clean bed.

Brie checked through the telescope that was facing out the window and said "All we see in his room are full of astronomy books and some science stuff, I think you dated a geek"

"So? I know he is a geeky dork but he is a good boyfriend so I consider that as a plus" I told them proudly

They all shrugged while glancing at each other "As long as you're happy we won't butt in" Adeline comments.

It was dinnertime and all of us were gathered around the long rectangular table but even the long table couldn't accommodate us all since there were too many of us, so some of my sisters ate on the couch in front of the TV along with Noah and Liam.

Cloud helped me walk to my chair since I couldn't use my left foot where the sprain was located

"Are you sure you don't want to be carried, Angel? You look like you're in pain"

I kissed his cheek "I love the idea of you carrying me around but that would make me dependent on you"

He played with his mouth while his eyes wandered around "I guess you do have a point"

Cloud gently sets me down on a chair while the rest was already eating, he sat beside me and we ate together.

Eating dinner with my family would be hectic, it was loud and rowdy but it was the very thing that I missed when eating dinner. It was that noise knowing that all of them are here.
