"Hazza could never imagine his life without Rubes in it because she was all he ever thought of."

"Did you know 'Reggie' was Sirius' brother?" Harry broke our 5 a.m. silence. His head laid over my chest while his arms wrapped my waist, my fingers playing with his dark hair.

"I take it you finally saw the Black Family Tapestry?" I queried. He nodded softly and tightened his hold on me. "The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. Toujours Pur." I mocked in a deep voice, following the phrase with a scoff. "Always Pure my fucking ass." My blood started to boil as I thought of the stories my dad told me. Stories that explained so much about Sirius' life that he would probably never reveal himself.

"You know who else is related to Sirius?" Harry peaked up at me.

"Yeah. It took everything in me not to blast that pig Malfoy's face off the wall, but Kreacher started shouting slurs at me before I could draw my wand." I wanted to spit on the name of those people on that tapestry.

The ones that put up a permanent sticking charm just so it could never be removed. The people that blasted Sirius' face off for running away to the Potter's and for being a good person. Foul, disgusting people that only loved their youngest son because he gave in to their beliefs out of fear.

"Sirius didn't say much about his brother, but he did say-"

"Unlike the other Black's left on that fucking wall, his brother was a noble boy who didn't deserve the life he was dealt." Maybe it was staying in his room all these days that made me feel a need to clear Regulus' name. "Siri should've taken him with him. I know he regrets it deep down, and Reg may not have even left if it was offered, but still." I bit my lips and buried my comments.

"Yeah, but he was too worried about their parents hating him like they hated Sirius-"

"He defected though." I whispered. "Dad told me a lot of things about their childhoods when they were our age. Reggie was just a kid and didn't know any better. Their parents would abuse him if he did anything wrong— they forced him to watch Sirius be Crucio'd. Imagine doing that to your own child and making the youngest watch." I scoffed. "He wanted them to like him instead of treating him like dirt. He didn't know any better." I repeated.

"He only backed out of being a Death Eater when he didn't like what Voldemort asked of him. Sirius said you don't just get to hand in a resignation. Voldemort had him killed." Harry picked up his head to look down at me. Maybe that was true, but I still believed the boy had seen the wrong in the dark side and had deeper motives to defect.

"But my dad said-"

"Rubes, I'm sure your dad had a much better image of Regulus because he felt sorry for him all those years. But Sirius lived it. He would know the truth, and Regulus favored Voldemort. He believed his parents when they talked of Pure Blood supremacy."
