𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥 Thursday morning, 8:23 AM to be exact. Your mom was currently driving you to school, smiling while watching you trying to stay awake. She stopped at the gas station to choose your snack for the day. You decided to get f/s (favorite snack). Heading back to the car, you were now a little more awake because of the short walk.

When you both finally reached the school parking lot, your mom went over to your side to open the door for you. She held out her hand and you promptly grabbed it. Once she saw your teacher, she bent down to kiss you on the cheek. As she was heading out, Mrs. Gonzales smiled and waved to both you and your mom.

"Good morning y/n, ready for another fun day?" she was honestly the nicest teacher you have ever met.

"Yup! Oh, I also made sure to do the homework so I'm good for today!" you said with a big toothy grin.

"That's amazing dear! Now, let's head to the classroom, I bet your excited to meet your friends huh?"

"Mhm!" you said while grabbing a hold of her hand.

Once in the classroom, you were delighted to see your best friend, Cathy. "CAAAATHYYYYYYYYYYY!!" you screamed before running to give her a big hug.

"Y/NNNNNNNNNNNNN!!" she screamed back, welcoming you in a hug. "I MISSED YOU SO MUCHH!!"

"ME TOO! *Insert dramatic gasp* WAIT, are those glitter pens??" you said, looking at her desk.

"Yup! I also saved you the special blue one because you are my best friend of all time!" she said while pointing to you proudly. You put your stuff in your cubby before checking out her new pens.

"Woahhhh, these are really pretty!" you were honestly to distracted to notice a blue haired boy entering the classroom. He saw you smiling at the glitter pens and couldn't help but smile as well. He thought you had a pretty smile. However, realizing what he was thinking, he immediately shook his head. How could he like you; you were a girl. Girls have cooties, as the other boys said.

Mrs. Gonzales clapped her hands to direct the classes attention to her. "Goodmorning class, how are we all doing?" An array of "good" was heard. "Please pass up your homework from yesterday so I can grade them," she said with a smile. You opened your backpack and grabbed the single piece of paper. You also took Cathy's paper so you could pass it up. You tapped on the boy in front of you and gave him the papers with a smile. You were hiding your blush, you thought he was cute. Cathy was clearly teasing you, whisper singing "Y/n and Sal sitting on a tree k-i-s-s-" you looked at her and covered her mouth with your hands. Her giggles were all you felt.

Sal couldn't help but quickly turn around after seeing your smile. His mother always called him a gentleman, so should he be gentleman to you? He would have to ask someone what a gentleman was though.

After the teacher collected all the papers, she then proceeded to pass out another paper with 5 math problems. "Okay class, thank you for your homework. I am now passing out your math problems for the day, if you complete them right now you won't have homework. Any questions? No? Alrighty then, let's get to work!"

You were breezing through the problems until you encountered a quite difficult one. You looked over to Cathy, but she was struggling to. You looked over to Sal who already turned in his paper. Woah, he's really smart. After he sat back down you tapped on his shoulder. "Hey Sal! I was wondering if you could help me on this problem. You seem really smart so I thought asking you would be best." He agreed and went to your side. You could just feel Cathy staring daggers at you both.

"One trick I do for problems with a nine is using your fingers," he was holding up his fingers to show you how to solve 9 x 8. Once he did, you thanked him and went to turn your sheet in. You both sat down in your respective seats and carried on with your day. Cathy, however, would not leave you alone about Sal till recess time.

Sal awkwardly approached the supervising adult who was monitoring the kids playing. "E-excuse me miss?"

She looked down at him, basically aweing at his shy manner. "Yes dear? What do you need," she asked before kneeling down to his height.

"I was wondering what a gentleman was?" he asked while fiddling with his fingers.

"A gentleman? Well, a gentleman is someone who is a chivalrous, courteous, or an honorable man."

"Would it be possible for me to be a gentleman to a girl...?"

The lady could just feel her heart dying. This boy was too cute for his own good. "Is there a girl you like?" she was so ready to talk about this boy with the others when they went in for lunch.

"Ew, no, girls have cooties...well...maybe?" he said while looking to you, a small blush on his face.

"How about this, why don't you give this special girl flowers and see if she likes it? That's something a gentleman would do." the lady recommended.

"A-alright! Thank you!" he said excitingly, now going to pick the prettiest flowers for you.

You were swinging on the swings with Cathy until Sal called out to you. You bravely jumped off and went over to him. You saw he had something behind his back.

"H-hi y/n!" he said nervously.

"Heya Sal! Do you need something?"

"Well...well I uh, IGOTTHESEFORYOUANDIREALLYHOPEYOULIKETHEM," he quickly spoke and placed the flowers in your hands before running to hide behind one of the slides. You glanced down at the small pile of flowers in your hands before freezing up. You didn't know what to do, all you could say though was you were shocked. Cathy was watching you both and was silently fangirling, she also saw you had frozen up. She went over and basically convinced you to go and talk to him.

After collecting your thoughts you met Sal at the shaded part of the slide. "I love the flowers, they are very pretty," you said, looking at him with a small smile.

"Really? I'm glad...hey...uh, do you want to sit with me at lunch?"

"I'd love to."

Extra:

Your mom had picked you up once school had ended. She asked the famous question every mom asks. "How was school sweetie?"

"It was good......also a boy gave me flowers."

You could feel the car come to a halt.

"WHAT?!"
