WHITE OVER RED: Drunken Sun (Story 2)

֍PROLOGUE: Drunken Sun

"Everybody has secrets."

Just like the car that was driving on the dark foggy road in the night that leads up the hill, his own sick thoughts wander.

"It's just whether we can keep them always hidden or we can sneak some truths out here and there for people to notice."

There is little light in the room but he likes it that way. Dimness seems to work better in causing their bodies to tremble.

"I have carried with me this secret for a long time. It feels good sometimes to be the real me when everyone else only sees their own versions of me, their ideas of me."

Screams can be heard echoing in the dim room as he tore open the flesh of his victim over and over. Red. Red. Red. White.

"Open it up. Let's see the insides of you. After all the red chunks of meat, what's left is the pure white of bones. It's sad that you can no longer speak. If you can still speak, what will you say to me? If you can still smile, will you still smile shyly at me? If you can still see, will you judge me with those eyes? Will you also think that this white over red is beautiful?"

The car had reached the main gate of the resort, located on the top of a hill, secluded and peaceful. The man had left the dim room that was laid hidden underneath the ground. He can hear the sounds of people moving about. There's a commotion. New guests had arrived. Only people with secrets would come to hide out here. Secrets that are about to be unveiled layer by layer.

"Everybody has secrets. But a secret is only a secret when no one knows about it. I will make sure that he won't find out about mine. All he needs to know is that I am willing to turn this whole world black just for him. I am a hopeless romantic after all... but also, crazy as hell. He should only need me, love me, and be mine. Or else, I'll have no choice but to see his white over red."
