Tim and Lucy tell their grandkids about the first and second dates.

Tim and Lucy sat comfortably in their cozy living room, surrounded by their beloved grandkids. The youngsters eagerly gathered around, excited to hear stories from their grandparents' police days. Tim and Lucy exchanged knowing glances, ready to share tales of their first and second date.

"Well, kiddos," Tim began, a twinkle in his eye, "let us take you back to the time when your grandma and I were just starting to get to know each other but we didn't start dating until after 3 years."

"On our first date," Lucy chimed in, a smile playing on her lips, "Tim picked me up in his truck. We went to the most romantic place in town, we were very nervous and didn't know how to start a conversation but our date ended up cut short because there was an accident in the kitchen."

The grandkids giggled, imagining their grandparents in their younger years, embarking on their romantic journey.

"And I must say," Tim continued, "your grandma looked absolutely radiant that night, just like she does now."

Lucy blushed, and the grandkids couldn't help but tease her affectionately.

"But that was just the beginning," Tim said, leaning forward, capturing the children's attention. "Our second date was at a food truck and i said it's our first date but your grandmother said it was our second date."

Lucy chuckled, her eyes sparkling with fond memories. "And i thought i scared grandpa off but no he stayed "

The grandkids erupted in laughter,

"But you know what?" Lucy added, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Even though he could have left the relationship , he won my heart that day."

Tim smiled, gently squeezing Lucy's hand. "And that's what truly mattered."
