I mean I liked her but I didn't love her."

Lucy listened attentively, appreciating Tim's honesty. "I understand, Tim. And as for me and Chris, he was someone I met during a period where I was searching for acceptance and validation. He made me feel wanted, but over time, I realized that our relationship lacked emotional depth. We didn't have the same long-term goals and aspirations."

Tim reached out and gently placed his hand on Lucy's, offering comfort and support. "Lucy, it's clear to me now that our previous relationships served as stepping stones, guiding us toward what we truly desired and needed. We learned valuable lessons about ourselves and what we wanted in a partner."

Lucy squeezed Tim's hand, grateful for his understanding. "Absolutely, Tim. Our experiences with Ashley and Chris helped us grow and allowed us to appreciate each other even more when we finally found one another."
