With just one day remaining before the Aoba Johsai school festival, all sport club trainings were cancelled due to tomorrow's event.

Iwaizumi hasn't officially asked Sakura to be his girlfriend yet. Despite this, he found comfort in Sakura's patience and understanding.

Though they were taking their time in putting a label for their relationship, they continued to converse just as they had in the past week since their mutual confession.

For Sakura, her focus had been directed towards perfecting her song for the upcoming performance.

Sakura planned an exciting secret—she hadn't informed Iwaizumi about her upcoming performance. Instead, she intended to surprise him on stage, adding an extra layer of anticipation to her performance.

She couldn't contain her excitement as the festival drew closer.

But Sakura had shared her plan with Oikawa, Iwaizumi's best friend. She knew that Oikawa could offer support if any issues arose. Of course, Oikawa was wholeheartedly onboard with the surprise.

While the class was putting the finishing touches on their haunted classroom theme, the teacher called out to Iwaizumi. "Iwaizumi, could you grab a ladder from the storage room downstairs? We need it for hanging the black curtains," she requested.

Iwaizumi nodded in agreement. But before he could make his way out of the room, Sakura, who was currently unoccupied, approached him. "I'll go with you, Hajime," she insisted.

"Sure. Let's head down together," Iwaizumi responded with a warm smile, and the two of them made their way downstairs.

As Sakura volunteered to accompany him, Iwaizumi found himself fighting the urge to ask her out right then and there, in the storage room.

He realized it wouldn't be the most memorable or romantic setting, so he let out a sigh, feeling a bit stressed by the internal dilemma.

Sensing this, Sakura glanced at his expression and couldn't help but notice his unease. "Are you alright?" she inquired, genuine concern lacing her words.

Iwaizumi managed to offer her a reassuring look, his lips curving into a comforting smile. "I'm good, don't worry," he replied, his attempt to disappear any worry in her eyes.

Upon their arrival at the storage room, both Sakura and Iwaizumi were met with a scene of dustiness. The room was a mess, cobwebs strewn everywhere, much to their disgust.

Iwaizumi couldn't help but cough. "This place is nasty," he commented as they entered the storage room to find the ladder.

Eventually, he found the ladder and picked it up, but when he turned around, he had a sudden jump of surprise.

"Sakura, you've got a cobweb in your hair," he exclaimed, moving to gently brush it away from her hair.

Unfazed as usual, Sakura maintained her calm behavior. While not afraid, she was definitely more on the side of being grossed out by the situation.

Sakura let out a soft chuckle as she fixed her hair, offering her gratitude, "Thanks," before they exited the storage room.

On their way back to their room, Iwaizumi found his gaze unintentionally returning to Sakura repeatedly. He cleared his throat, a subtle sign of his nerves, before he spoke up. "You know, you look really pretty," he admitted, his words seeming to come out of the blue.
