At one point in life, we think, everything can be easily forgotten about. But the truth is one can never escape the past. It is a part of life that, even if we want, will never leave us. And that is why instead of running away from it, one should learn to accept it and face it.

Saim gulped the water, before placing the glass on the counter with a thud. He massaged his forehead before his eyes fell on his phone that had now stopped ringing. He picked it up, noticing 10 missed calls; the maximum being his brother and the rest from his parents and Fariha, knowing all too well that it was just to ask about Yusra. Hasham had texted him saying that he had managed to get everything under control and had informed the family members that Yusra felt unwell as a result of their absent. He felt grateful to his cousin for handling the situation without being asked for and neither questioning about anything that had previously occurred.

He knew he had to go upstairs to where he had left Yusra alone, but he also knew she needed space. Space to let it all out and not suffocate herself. But he was scared. Scared as to something might happen to her. He could still feel his heartbeat skip thinking back to her panic attack.

Pocketing his phone, he walked upstairs with the food he had heated for them. He looked around the room to find Yusra but when he didn't, he walked inside to find her where he had left to only be astonished at the sight.

Yusra had redone her makeup, fixing her hijab when her eyes met his, stopping her movements, however she continued avoiding eye contact with him.

"Where are you going?" He questioned looking at his clothes, she was supposed to be changed into, nowhere in sight, "The venue." She spoke softly, clearing her throat that had dried due to immense crying.

She had learnt how to act according to the situations. She knew she couldn't let the function hamper because of her so she had already masked up her face with a smile.

"We are not going anywhere!" He ordered turning her around to face him trying to read her face. He found himself drowning into her eyes; the depth of emotions too strong. He caressed her cheek as a result she closed her eyes, letting the tear run down her eye at the comfort; something she had always craved for.

Her eyes were crystal clear to be read.

"You are strong Yusra. Very strong. But please don't burden yourself with something when you don't want to. Let it out so that it can never make you weak ever." He wiped the tears that made her open her eyes. His heart ached looking at her welled up eyes, that she had been hiding all this months. If only he could understand how much pain she had felt in her past that had wrecked her up so much, he would try to heal all of it.

"Let me in, Yusra." He whispered letting their foreheads touch, while they closed their eyes. His gesture calming her down.

If only he knew, how his every touch, his every gesture had a play in healing her wounds, that no one had the power to heal. Clearly he had given her wounds, that maybe were more hurtful than what she already had, but he had the power to heal her wounds, to heal her.

And letting him in was never a choice, because her heart had already let him in; without any hassle.

She opened her eyes to only find his eyes casted on her, her mind letting her know the closeness. Lowering her eyes, she took a step back, to only be stopped by his hands encircling her, stopping her from backing away.

"Don't move, just stay still." He whispered while she placed her hands on his chest looking into his eyes, "Let me take your pain away." He breathed while she sucked in the air, her lips quivering at his words.
