Chapter 23: UA

This is in Izuku's side of the story.

Exiting the apartment with a determine look and grin Izuku quickly made his way over to the beach resort to finish up what he started.

'I can do it!' He coaxed himself.

"Kukun, you can do it!"

'(Y/N) believed that I could..!'

"I know for sure you are gonna be the greatest hero ever!"

'I can't let keep letting her down..'

"Its okay Kukun, I know you are busy!"

"Kukun, you don't have to be sorry.."

"...Izuku... Where were you?"

'After so much pain.. Does it ever hurt you? Or did you just tossed them aside all for my sake?' Izuku huffed finding himself on top of the big garbage pile that he had stacked.

"Oh.. You are not gonna come? W-Well its fine! Go on, you don't wanna miss it...!"

Izuku felt a sharp pain in his heart as he reminisce all the times he has seen you frown.

All of the time, he would always find you right by his side cheering for him. What right does he have to take you for granted?

[Flashback]

Izuku draped the blanket over your shoulders as you sleepily lay on your bed.

"Izuku, you are gonna be late.." You told him through half opened eyes.

But he merely shook his head. "It can wait.."

"No it can't." You replied sharply. "Something like this, to happen to a quirkless? Its more amazing than anything I have ever known or seen!" You told him.

"I may never be able to have the luxury to what you may experience, but that is okay! Cause sometimes... One just needs to leave the nest to grow.." You quoted with a sad smile.

Izuku stared at you with a shocked look as you gestured him to go. "I am ready to stop burdening you with my selfish wish to keep those dear to me close.... Now go on... Kukun..!"

[Flashback End]

Through clenched teeth Izuku gave out a battle cry that echoed in the morning air.

Releasing all the pent up emotion that was held back in the midst of his mind. The pains and hardship of the past to the anxiety for the future.

Feeling the adrenaline leave him he feel back only to be caught by All Might.

With a tired look, Izuku gave a weak smile as All Might set him down with large grin.

With a strong look in his eyes Izuku jotted everything he has gathered over the years.

It was kind of thanks to you for preparing him for this test, that he was able to answer much of it.

'I am sure without a doubt, that I would be able to pass this part of the test, but its the practical test that worries me.' He thought to himself.

'And not to mention...'

"I am finally receiving your quirk?" Izuku sounded surprised and unsure.
