Before you start, most of you had so much trust in manik and it made me and himlegit emotional! Thank you everyone!! 💓❤️

~ He didn't need her to fix him, he just needed her to tell him he could do that himself and she did exactly that! ~

Nandini crossed her arms over her chest and turned to face Manik, who was standing near the door of their suite, his eyes clouded with guilt for not standing up for the woman he claimed to love. Taking a deep breath, he looked at Nandini and walked upto her, trying to hold her shoulders.

"Nandini...?", his voice was soft and Nandini simply raised her eyes to look at him. Contrary to what Manik was expecting, her face broke into a smile.

"Don't give me any explanation Manik. I don't need any!", she uncrossed her arms to raise her right hand and cup his cheek.

Manik was surprised. He stared at her like she was a ghost and his expressions only made him chuckle.

"What? You want me to fight with you?", Nandini questioned, and Manik nodded. Nandini only smiled again, if there was one thing among the hundred things that made Manik him, his childish innocence at times, topped the list and Nandini loved it the most about him.

"Mr. Malhotra, you are forgetting that I grew up in a lawyer's house and I am married to one. If a man can stand up for me without even declaring his love for me, you want me to believe he remained quite today without any reason, that too in front of those very people? Give me some credit yaa, I have my brain in right place!", Nandini dismissed everything with the shake of one hand, and flipped her hair back smirking at her husband, and a huge smile broke on Manik's face as he shook his head in complete amusement.

He definitely needed to stop underestimating his wife.

Tilting his head, he laughed before kissing her forhead, cupping both her cheeks. Nandini immediately blushed, because she could feel his rapidly beating heart under her plam and so much love through that one kiss. They stayed still for a while, basking in the warmth, simply enjoying standing close to each other, until Nandini clutched the lapels of his jacket tight and pulled him closer.

"You promised me a night to remember, remember?", her voice was barely a whisper as she stood on her toes and spoke in his ear, her lips lightly brushing his cheek, and Manik could feel his breaths quickened.

"I do", he replied in the same way, ticking a loose strand behind her ear and kissing her ear before tucking out her earring.

The night fell short to their expectations as they explored everything they already had, but it was another level of high every damn time. Finally Nandini fell asleep with her head on his chest, but Manik stayed awake for a while, his mind a mess as he thought and rethought about things, but he also knew, this was going to be the last time.

Nandini's smile only grew wider as the court hearing progressed. Uptil now she had only heard her appa preach about how good a lawyer Manik was, today she was watching it and enjoying every bit of it. The opponent lawyer raised good points, no doubt but Manik was prepared for everything it seemed. He had a counter statement for everything. Nandini watched how the fifteen year old girl's eyes went teary as her hopes increased. She was looking at Manik with so much gratitude already, like it didn't mean to her if they loose now.
