The four vampires rushed to the throne room to report what they have found out.

"Master!" Yelled Jane, bursting in.

"Don't you know that it is rude to barge in uninvited?" Sighed Caius, shaking his head in disapproval.

"I'm sorry master but Secret....Secret has cancer." She whispered.

Aro immediately spun around and zoomed in front of her.

"Secret has....what?" He asked.

"Cancer master. Cancer." Whispered Jane.

Aro slowly turned around and walked back to his throne.

"Did she tell you directly?" He asked.

"No but it was pretty obvious. She gave us some hints and through the process of elimination, we found cancer to be the most possible factor." Reported Jane.

"Perhaps we should ask her directly." Suggested Alec.

"No. She wouldn't tell us." Mumbled Jane.

"So what do we do?" Asked Caius.

Jane turned and faced him.

"We make the last eight to twelve months of her life the most enjoyable ones." Decided Jane.

Everyone nodded sadly.

"I guess that is the most we can do for her." Sighed Alec.

"Very well my dears. You are excused." Sighed Aro.

"Yes master." They mumbled, bowing and walking out of the room.

I 'read' the book in front of me, which frankly, I didn't even know the name of. A knock on the door disturbed my silence.

"Come in." I said emotionlessly.

Jane walked in with a big smile on her face. Wait. What?

"Hi Secret! How was your day? Want to go shopping with me?"

I cocked an eyebrow.

"Ok....what did I do wrong?" I asked.

Jane laughed. Wait. Huh?

"Seriously.....spare me oh mighty one."

Jane smirked. There we go.

"What's wrong with me being nice once in a while?"

"Once in a while? You mean never?"

She smirked again.

"Yeah yeah. Whatever." She rolled her eyes.

"So...what's the real reason you're here?" I asked, putting my book down.

"Do you have.....cancer?" She asked hesitantly.

I sighed. They're smarter than I gave them credit for.

"Yes. You figured it out. Congratulations. You want a prize?" I asked sarcastically.

"I'm sorry." Said Jane, pulling me into a hug.

I started crying.

"The doctor just told me so suddenly and i just couldn't fathom him out that split moment." I cried.

She rubbed my back.

"Sh...I'm sorry."
