"Martial arts... Are you serious... You are into martial arts.." I said
"Yes.. These two are my state and National level trophies... "She said pointing towards the two trophies she got..
"So you are a karate girl.." I said looking at her trophies
She laughed.. I love it when she laughs
I looked at her.. And smiled
"Why do you wanna get married??" I asked looking at her beautiful eyes
She stopped laughing.. And looked at me
"What do you mean??" She asked
"I mean.. You know... You are so talented I mean bright student and martial arts player... And everything.. Don't you have your own dreams.. To become something.." I asked
She looked at me I could see the hollowness and sadness..
"My mom and dad doesn't want me to continue with my studies... They think that even after studying I am gonna get married and have kids.... So they don't wanna spend there money on me... I mean I have a small brother..he lives in hostel... My parents wants to conserve the money for him... For his studies and stuff.." She said
"But why? Why your brother and not you" I asked
She smiled at me and said
"Coz at the end I have to get married and then my only priority will be my in-laws whatever I do should make then happy or profit them.. And if my parents waste their money on me then who will take care of them when they will get old my brother is their only hope coz I will not be their that's why they are conserving their money so that he can become something and take care of them as well" She said
"But you are talented"I questioned
"When your are a girl there's no room for talent.. Even if you are at the end you will have to sacrifice everything for your husband children and everyone.." She said
"So you don't want to pursue your dreams?" I asked
" My only dream is to make my in-laws and my husband happy... You know from my childhood I was always taught how to be a good wife my mom taught me how to cook how to clean and other stuffs.. So my only dream is to be a good wife and make my husband happy be he way he wants me to be" she said smiling
"So you don't complain about all of this?" I asked
She laughed and said
" No..!! Why would I infact..I will be more than happy if my in laws will be happy and if I make my husband happy.. That's the only goal I have in my life and that the only thing I want and thankfully I am getting what I want.." She said looking at me and I was looking at her after few moments of just looking at her
"Aaradhya I don't have words to say.. It's like I feel very small in front of you and I can't believe that how can I get so lucky to be your husband" I said looking at her eyes getting lost into them
