Su Tang spoke again and again about how important filial piety was to her and her brother. If she didn't talk about it everywhere, how could outsiders know how well behaved they were?

Sure enough, when Su Yongshun and Madam Qin heard that the siblings were trying to show their filial piety to Su Laochuan, they both thought more highly of the sister and brother pair. The children Su Laochuan had adopted were very good it seemed, even though Su Tang and Su Nuo were so young they were so filial. It was obvious that whether their fates were actually adverse or not, their character was really good.

"Well, that's good. Although we did things too urgently yesterday, Su Laochuan will be able to rest in peace in the future." When Su Yongshun spoke, his eyes were rimmed with red. He had received a lot of help from Su Laochuan and the relationship between their two families had always been good.

So now he was naturally moved to see that Su Tang and her brother were such good children who were willing to show their filial piety to their new father.

Su Tang said that while they were observing filial piety they could not eat fish, so Su Yongshun and Madam Qin let Madam Tong take it to the kitchen, where it could be cleaned up and stewed later.

As soon as she entered the room Su Tang saw a little girl come into the room from a side door. When she saw Su Tang and her brother, the little girl shouted, "Aunt Tang, Uncle Nuo!"

This little girl was the daughter of Su Yongshun and Madam Qin, Su Nuan and she was twelve years old this year. When Su Tang and her brother had come inside Su Nuan had been preparing food in the backyard. The little girl was very friendly and especially came in to greet the guests.

Su Tang looked up at the little girl. She was wearing a light red dress with a common pink flower poked into her hair. Although she didn't have any expensive jewelry, she looked neat and pretty.

"Nuan Nuan is so pretty." Su Tang complimented.

When Su Nuan heard the praise her face flushed and she said, "Aunt Tang is also very pretty."

Madam Qin was very fond of her little daughter so when she heard Su Tang praised Su Nuan she also felt happy. She pulled her daughter over to her side. "You are pretty, you're both very pretty."

Su Yongshun shook his head when he saw his wife not acting modestly at all.

Although he also thought his little daughter was pretty, so was Tang'er. Even though the late Madam Liu had always been in poor health because she was the most beautiful flower in any of the nearby villages she could still marry Su Dafu.

Su Dafu wasn't bad himself either because even after he became a widower he was able to marry a beauty like Madam Wu as his second wife. Su Dafu was handsome and Madam Liu had been beautiful, since Su Tang and Su Nuo had such parents they naturally were born with good features. But because no one had taken care of the two children before and they had always been dirty all the time, no one had been able to notice their beauty.

But now that Su Tang and her brother lived by themselves and they were able to wash and be clean every day. Although they looked thin and frail, you could tell they had a good foundation.

Su Yongshun glanced between Su Tang and his daughter. Although he knew it wasn't modest, they did look very good.

Su Nuan had seen Su Dani before. Back then, Su Dani was always dirty and hardly ever came out of her home. Her hair was always messy and there were many children in the village who laughed at Su Dani behind her back.

So today when she saw that after Su Tang cleaned up she was actually quite good-looking she felt surprised. She looked at Su Tang curiously, "Aunt Tang, how do you do that? Your hair is so beautiful."
